undergoing a dramatic transformation, installing a state-of-the-art Customer eXperience Center (CXC) designed to propel the technology leader
into a new era of growth. Two years in the making, the CXC is the culmination of a company-wide effort inspired by a simple goal: to build a showcase worthy of Nuance’s elite solutions and foster its people’s continued success. “We support our sales team like no other company and that means giving them the best solutions, a strong foundation in our values, and the best tools,” said Nuance Chief Revenue Officer Robert Dahdah. But why fix what isn’t broken? After all, Nuance was named one of Selling Power’s Top 50 Companies to Sell For and exceeded expectations in a year of unprecedented challenges – all without the benefit of a world-class physical and virtual showcase for customer briefings. According to Dahdah, it’s this momentum that justifies the addition of a game-changing sales tool that “puts Nuance squarely among the biggest and best-known competitors.” “It’s only fitting that the CXC is arriving in a year when we’ve set our sights on our highest goals ever,” Dahdah said. “It’s the crown jewel of what we offer to support our people.” After one look at the bespoke rooms for DAX, radiology, and omni-channel solutions, it’s clear that the sales, marketing, finance and people & places teams are aligned to deliver the resources required for sustained excellence. And the impetus for this effort came directly from the top. “[Chief Executive Officer] Mark [Benjamin] was a huge sponsor,” said Dahdah. “He encouraged us to build the right showcase for our phenomenal technology and gave us everything we needed to be successful.”

hief People Officer Beth Conway recalled that early discussions of the CXC centered on a single question: “How can we create an experience for our prospects and customers that illustrates the power of our solutions while enabling them to really get to know Nuance in the process?” After an initial flurry of “ideating, dreaming and exploring all that we could possibly do,” Conway described “locking in on a vision” and ramping up quickly for execution – only to hit the wall of a two-month halt in commercial construction. Despite the unforeseen impact of the pandemic, the team’s unstoppable drive kept the project on pace, according to Conway. “They persevered, adapted, and continued to make forward progress in the midst of a crisis,” she marveled. “The team included people from

every function, and they collaborated extraordinarily well to deliver what I think we all can agree is an amazing space for our sales team to showcase our cutting-edge conversational AI technology.” No longer will the onus of describing Nuance’s ambient intelligence and unparalleled technology stack rest on the ingenuity of sales pros and the imagination of customers: at the CXC, Nuance solutions come alive in immersive, impactful experiences. Chief Financial Officer Dan Tempesta described it as “a place where customers can come and see firsthand our technologies at work, learn about what’s possible, discuss how they can solve problems and amplify insights in their environments.” Joked Dahdah, “Before, we were serving up a Three Star Michelin meal in a brown paper bag. Now we’ve got the proper crystal

While it was designed with customers in mind, it is also intended to instill employees with pride and inspire them with a living, changing representation of what Dahdah calls “the best of who we are.” Conway cited the many ways that “every single employee contributes to the customer experience,” adding, “we truly believe that our people are our most important differentiator, keeping us at the forefront of our markets. To reflect and celebrate this, we installed digital moments that feature the power and diversity of our culture, which makes Nuance an amazing place to work.” Dahdah concurred, observing that, while “the CXC
showcases our solutions, it’s also a showcase of and for our people. It’s a reflection of them and their effort and tenacity – all the great things that happen when a technology company pushes to set a higher standard.” The experience extends beyond customers to all visitors, employees and prospective hires. And it starts outside the CXC, in the lobby, where a prominent values wall makes a first impression that reveals the beating heart of a mission-driven company. Conway emphasized the importance of “proudly displaying our Values to employees, current and future customers, and candidates considering Nuance for their own future,” introducing the company by offering “insight into who we are, what we believe, the attributes that guide our decision-making, and the ways in which we build our culture.” Brenda Hodge, Chief Marketing Officer, added that the CXC “tells the story of one Nuance,” combining and transforming all previous iterations to establish a single, compelling and cohesive identity. “Nuance at its core is about amplifying people’s ability to help

High West Whiskey Park City’s High West line of whiskey is a far cry from the spirits that saloons served up in the 1800s. Their Distillery and Saloon are located in a 100-year-old converted stable at the base of Park City’s town lift.

Meet Monty and Summit These playful Bernese Mountain dogs are considered members of the Montage Deer Valley staff. They like to greet guests, pose for photos and romp in the snow. At the end of their shift each day, they live at the home of a hotel manager's family.
Craft Beers The award-winning Wasatch Brewery was Park City’s first post-prohibition brewery. Its craft beers – like Polygamy Porter, Island Hop IPA and Evo Amber Ale – are perennial taste quenchers in bars, lounges and pubs all over town. Enjoy the perfect pint!
Mosey On In Step into the Old West at Burns Cowboy Shop. From hats and buckles to boots and saddles – everything is handcrafted by local artisans. As the folks in town say, when you own a Burns cowboy boot, you own an original.
Champagne Sabering Pop over to the St. Regis Terrace where each evening, at 6:30 sharp, a hotel staff member ceremoniously strikes the cork from a sealed bottle of bubbly with a modern-day saber and pours a round for a cheering audience.
