What’s up @ An internal information service for DTI employees
DTI conducts Procurement Capacity Building Seminar The Department of Trade and Industry - Human Resource and Administrative Service (DTI-HRAS) conducted a one-day Procurement Capacity Building Seminar on 9 July 2014 at the Center Conference Room, Trade and Industry Building in Makati City. HRAS hosted the seminar for 50 employees from various DTI units involved in the preparation of each bureau’s Purchase Request (PR) and Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP). “The activity was meant to enhance the employees’ understanding of the concepts, processes, and methodologies involved in the procurement process,” HRAS Director Joel R. Cruz said. The procurement process was discussed from identifying needs through the annual Procurement Plan to procuring, implementing, and monitoring of each bureau. The Procurement Section also conferred guidelines on how to effectively plan purchases and use the Supply and Inventory Management System (SIMS). The attendees were likewise able to air their concerns, ask questions, and suggest possible system improvements.
