Panubli-on Fair 2014 showcases Western Visayas’ best products The Department of Trade and Industry – Region 6 held the ninth year of Panubli-on on 4 to 6 August 2014 at Glorietta mall’s activity center in Makati City. “Panubli-on” which means “heritage” represents the famous and well-loved products of Region 6 provinces. Entrepreneurs and exhibitors from Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental were present in the event. The fair has a selection of fashion accessories, housewares and decors, gifts, and handicrafts. Fresh and processed foods are also showcased in the exhibit. Guimaras’ famous mangoes to a variety of the Ilonggo’s favorite delicacies are among the featured products. The opening ceremony was attended by Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) Director Rhodora M. Leaño, Foreign Buyers Association of the Philippines (FOBAP) President Robert Young, and Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramon M. Quesada with wife Mrs. Ma. Gracia Quesada.

Also, present in the event are DTI-Region 6 OIC-Regional Director Wilhelm M. Malones, DTI Provincial Directors Ermelinda P. Pollentes (Capiz), Lea T. Gonzales (Antique), Rebecca M. Rascon (Negros Occidental) and Officer-inCharge (OIC) Ma. Carmen I. Iturralde (Guimaras) together with the DTI Region 6 team from DTI Western Visayas regional offices. The fair has 59 exhibitors in which 58 are micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and one from local government unit (LGU). The DTI Region 6 team is looking forward to have more participants and exhibitors on Panubli-on’s 10th year in 2015.
