A summary of the full report on China's packaged food market based on a survey conducted in 2013 in eight cities. The survey aimed at gauging the changes in consumer behavior as well as in identifying concepts and trends of the Chinese packaged food market. This report is expected to serve as guide for Hong Kong companies who wish to develop their trade with the mainland market. The summary also provides information on the general attitude and characteristics of packaged food consumers; characteristics of consumption of cereals, oils, dried products, convenience food, condiments and sauces, snack food, dairy products; preferences of online shoppers; packaged food bought as a gifts; and consumer preferences for imported packaged food. 4 pages
