He underscored DTI’s big role in attaining the country’s 7.8-% gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the first quarter of the year. The highest since President Benigno S. Aquino III took office in 2010, said GDP growth was better than China’s 7.7-% GDP in the same quarter. Domingo added that along with the country’s economic growth, DTI has also helped a lot in promoting consumer welfare in the Philippines.
He congratulated all DTI employees for their individual and collective contributions in making the Department one of the leading government agencies in the Philippines as it continually gets high marks in various surveys. He also urged everyone to continue what they’re doing and always do what’s best. “Do your best and God will do the rest,” he said. Also, a raffle was held after the flag ceremony where some employees won merchandises and appliances that were sponsored by the different DTI bureaus.
