DTI personnel attend Green Public Procurement Seminar Workshop Some Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) personnel attended the Green Public Procurement (GPP) Seminar and Workshop under the European Union (EU) SWITCH-Asia Programme held on September 19-21, 2013 at Hotel Kimberly, Tagaytay City. The selected participants were part of the public procurement process and those who were involved in both business and standards development. GPP Expert and Executive Director Walter Kahlenborn facilitated the event. Participants were made aware on the concepts of green procurement such as GPP, Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), and Eco-Labeling. They also discussed issues, concerns, and options in the institution of GPP in the Government Procurement Reform Act or RA 9184 and Executive Order (EO) 301 which pertains to GPP.
