How to Prepare for Your Boudoir Session {SKIN & HAIR} 1.
Arrive with clean fully dry hair. Our professional makeup artists are trained in hair styling and will lightly style your hair according to your tastes.
2.
If you typically dye your hair, make sure that your hairstyle is up-to-date with any touch ups.
3.
Any waxing, especially eyebrows, should be done at least a few days in advance of your shoot.
4.
Arrive with clean moisturized skin. This provides a smooth base for makeup application.
5.
Please let the makeup artist know if you have any allergies to products. If you do have skin allergies and prefer that our makeup artists use your items, please be sure to bring them with you the day of your shoot. They will be happy to apply them for you.
6.
Our makeup artist will apply makeup according to your preference. We have a makeup chart in the studio for you to select a style that you love.
7.
Schedule a manicure if necessary. Nail polish can be distracting so it’s best to have your nails natural or with a French or American manicure.
{CLOTHES & ACCESSORIES} 1.
Make sure you bring your shoes, but I can also pose you very well in just your bare feet.
2.
Please bring 3-4 outfits. Some great ideas include corsets and panty set, vintage nightgowns, bra and panty sets, baby doll lingerie, something that sparkles. Think colors that flatter your skin tone and accentuate your figure. Some great sites for shopping are www.victoriassecret.com; www.fredericks.com; www.adoreme.com; www.journelle.com; www.nakedprincess.com; https://www.etsy.com/shop/knickerocker; and so many more. Just make sure that you have all the necessary bras or accompaniments to any slips that don’t provide the support that makes you feel comfortable.
3.
Your outfits can range from light and ethereal to full on vixen. We typically order the shoot from casual to glamorous so we can add makeup if necessary.
4.
Is there any jewelry or accessory that you would like to be wearing when you are being photographed? Many clients bring in necklaces, rings, scarves, wraps and hats. When in doubt, bring it to your shoot!
