Idroelettrica S.p.A., an all-Italian business founded in 1979 by the talented and enthusiastic Giancarlo Alberghini, has always aimed to develop quick and professional solutions to all the problems associated with pumping water by designing and building automations featuring increasingly complex control panels. Although the company now has 4 branches in different Italian towns, its manufacturing plant has remained in the province of Modena. In 1996, after creating several innovative products (some of which would be patented) in the Fire-Fighting Systems field, it received significant industry recognition, which quickly led it to become an Italian market leader in this specific sector.

Every Idroelettrica S.p.A. product is created thanks to the diligent research carried out by an expert team of engineers, technicians and designers.
The Research & Development sector is not in itself a specific environment for the application of mathematics, but rather a unique company function, specialising in the generation and implementation of technological innovations. The term actually suggests a creative role undertaken in an orderly manner, to expand the knowledge base used in the creation of new applications. Every new Idroelettrica S.p.A. product is subjected to strict quality controls and comprehensive stress tests. Idroelettrica S.p.A. has become an Italian market leader due to its high level of technological innovation, in the implementation of fire-fighting systems and is now preparing itself for expansion on a global scale. Idroelettrica S.p.A. represents the strategic sector of safety. In fact, the design and development of new products is often a crucial element for survival: in a rapidly-changing industrial scene, companies must constantly review their designs and product ranges due to the ceaseless emergence of technological innovations in the construction sector and the rules and regulations governing it. Very often, the products designed by the Idroelettrica S.p.A. research and development team do not enter production, but remain in prototype form as they may become useful at a later stage. Idroelettrica S.p.A. always guarantees optimum product quality through a painstaking design process, the adoption of innovative technology in its manufacturing systems, the establishment of high mechanical and technical standards, the sourcing of top-quality materials and components and stringent quality control tests. Components in Idroelettrica S.p.A. products are checked and tested in the hi-tech test lab, which is capable of testing pumps at full load. The assembled product is the result of precise procedures and its quality is undoubtedly of great significance.

The technology intrinsic to Idroelettrica S.p.A. products is the result of ongoing studies carried out by the consistently coordinated Research & Development departments. Technological research, encompassing electronics, I.T. and mechanics, is carried out by expert engineers and designers. Idroelettrica S.p.A. invests a significant part of its resources in researching and creating new products, while supporting and improving the existing range. It develops ideas by studying increasingly sophisticated technology and constantly running verification tests, with a clear path and an instantly recognisable style which makes Idroelettrica S.p.A. customers and staff alike feel as if they are a part of a single project. On the basis of the Quality System Certification UNI EN ISO 9002:1994, which began in 1997 and was completed in 1999, Idroelettrica S.p.A. has obtained Quality System Certification in accordance with the new UNI EN ISO 9001:2008, the European recognition which guarantees that our work conforms to the strictest standards, making it a market leader in Italy.

Since 2001 Idroelettrica S.p.A. has been organising training courses with the aim of supporting the technicians and designers who have opted to work with its technology, as they negotiate the tricky world of constantly-changing fire-fighting regulations.
IDROELETTRICA
Idroelettrica S.p.A. also offers all the technical and regulatory tools required to design and then properly maintain fire-fighting system safeguards, in accordance with current technical regulations. In addition to participation certificates, on completion of our courses we also issue the training credits required to achieve or retain enrolment in Italian EX Art. 818, the list compiled by the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs for designers and testers in the fire-fighting industry.
