Engineering Acoustics MSc Eng programme
“Sound technology is increasingly important in our society, and it is present in almost every aspect of our lives."
Helping society Engineering Acoustics is an exciting research area covering a wide range of topics related to sound, hearing, and vibration. Acoustic engineering helps society by creating healthy acoustic environments and reducing harmful environmental noise. It enables to assist the hearing impaired, to design innovative architectural spaces, as well as to improve the sound quality delivered by loudspeakers and communication devices. Also, acoustic signals and audio processing are essential in the age of big data and artificial intelligence. Sound technology is increasingly important in our society, and it is present in almost every aspect of our lives.
International study environment The Engineering Acoustics MSc programme attracts students from all over the world seeking to expand their knowledge of acoustics and become experts in the field. This means that you will be part of an international study environment with focus on exciting interdisciplinary studies of acoustics. The profile of our students is highly attractive for employÂment in Denmark and abroad, as the programme covers a wide area of subjects, with up-to-date material, world-class facilities and maintaining strong links to research, innovation and industry.
Career opportunities Denmark is a world-leader in sound technology with a longstanding reputation in this field. There is a unique industrial network, including some of the largest international companies in hearing-aid technology, headphones, headsets, loudspeaker and audio production, microphones, sensors, consulting firms, environment, medical technology, healthcare, communications, virtual audio, gaming, etc. Currently there are more than 100 companies registered in the Danish sound branch that account for more than 28,000 jobs in the sound sector.
