The medical fi eld is one that has systematically been cruel to black and brown communities, especially those that are below the poverty line. I would like to design a facility that has the capability of incorporating alternative approaches to healing that did not prioritize opioids and profi t but prioritizes patient wellness and recovery. I am proposing a rehabilitation center where clinical spaces are inviting and the environment aidsin the patients wellness process. Incorporating biophilic design can promote a comforting environment where patients feel safe and cared for. Introducing comprehensive integrative health programs in underserved areas reduces the risk for disease, illness, and even death
