A LETTER FROM KIRK What a year! I know that for us it feels as though we were just doing this process for the Travel Planner and meeting with many of you at ATE, and TRENZ, but it’s upon us again.

In 2016/17 the DUA Travel Planner will be modified and customised to become the Air New Zealand Vacations Planner as well.

I wanted to start with the results that we have achieved so far from product strategy changes implemented for the 1516 product year.

What does this mean for you?

Streamlined our product range to sell more than 85% preferred products

All brochured products provided exclusive value add offers that enticed potential travelers to book with us

Our passanger numbers increased by 12% this year

1. Greater distribution of the products included in the 1617 Travel Planner because there will be two separate brochures distributed to two very different audiences.

a. Air New Zealand Vacations is preferred with Vacation.com – the largest travel agent consortium in North America, serving agents in United States and Canada. With over 5000 members in this elite group, Vacation.com offers so many tools to travel agents to help them successfully sell our destinations.

b. Airnewzealand.com – which has over 253, 000 unique visitors a month hosts a vacation and destination section which all products (vacation packages, tours and hotels) listed is powered by Air New Zealand Vacations. Another 4,000 agents are joining our stable through our Air New Zealand Vacations program.

ABOUT AIR NEW ZEALAND VACATIONS

The major focus for Air New Zealand Vacations is providing travel deals and content to the Air New Zealand site and strengthening the opportunities available through the consortia that book exclusively with Air New Zealand Vacations. Air New Zealand Vacations destinations are similar to those that will be featured within the DUA Travel Planner. Changes will include creating more of a focus on New Zealand tours and itineraries, deleting Tahiti, adding Samoa and Tonga and with one airline difference, Air New Zealand will be the only carrier utilised.

PARTICIPATION PRICES FOR TRAVEL PLANNER The Price: Please refer to your personalised email that highlights the participation fee for your company for the 16/17 Travel Planner/s. This email will also highlight if you are to be included in both DUA and Air New Zealand Vacations Travel Planner.

The Payment: Upon receiving this confirmation email you will have 14 days to make final payment, or your placement in the Travel Planner/s could be withdrawn.
