I Can, I Will..... now Watch Me! This is my first of many magazines that I will produce. My wish for this publication is to bring a little colour and love to your life by sharing stories of the various people I have met on my journey so far. I believe we all have a gift even though we may not know what our particular gift is but it is there and our journey in our life is to find the keys that unlock the hidden gifts we have inside us. Many blessings Noeleen

Finding the Keys to my Life
W
riting my own story feels a little strange to me. Actually I am waiting for the guy with The Big Red Book to jump out of my laptop and say “This is your Life, Noeleen.” A few facts about me to start I have been blessed with 4 children Danielle, Caroline, Aaron and Christopher and I cannot forgot my beautiful Grandson Luke who is one year old.
1
After the birth of my last child in 2000, I suffered from postnatal depression, though this was not discovered till 2010, I hid this pretty well and always had a smile and a positive word, while inside I was dying. In 2009, I was under immense stress from a marriage that was failing and one financial crisis after another. Many things happened to me that year from falling off a ladder, to swine flu and finally the big crunch came just before Christmas 2009, I stood on our little kitten and fell down the stairs. This resulted in me breaking my coccyx bone. The pain I felt was huge, actually I have never experienced anything like it. I could not stand, sit or walk with the pain and I could not take anymore and life was so painful for me at this time that I did try and end it all. I remember leaving the house and walking to the field near me and lying on the grass in the coldness of winter and asking God to take me. He didn’t, of course and I thank God that I was found that night. A few days later I made a call to a very special Counsellor, Maria Mc Bride and asked her to help me, from that moment my life has changed completely. My doctor told me I had a Nervous Breakdown and I know today
this was my break through. During the year 2010, I was literally hanging on with the tips of my finger nails. Most days were a blur. I spent so much time walking and listening to audio books or with my dear friend Nawel who was a rock to me at this time and is one of my treasured friends today. Sometimes I would walk down the Dun Laoghaire Pier and just watch people. I would see if they had a grumpy face and if so I would smile or say hello, this was my way to change the way I was feeling and in turn, when someone looks at you and smiles it does make you feel so different inside. In September of that year the Home School Teacher from Cabinteely suggested I go to a course called Partners in Education. She told me I would enjoy it and it would help with my confidence, as the first part of the course was Personal and Interpersonal Skills. The facilitator’s name was Anne and she was brilliant, helping and supporting me. I actually felt my confidence grew slowly over the course. Part of this course involved going inside you and seeing all the characteristics that were good. This was one hard exercise as I didn’t believe I was good at anything. I was still in so much pain on all levels at this time and my doctor was keeping a close eye on me. I think I was seeing him weekly. My doctor referred me to the Pain Management team in St Vincents Hospital where I was asked a lot of questions about my life from my childhood to my life now and like most I had many stories to tell. I remember the doctor at the time saying to another consultant that I had
so many red flags and he didn’t know how I was still here. All I kept thinking was, that they were going to lock me away somewhere and my ex-husband would be delighted. Was I the one who was mad, I kept thinking to myself as the doctors talked to each other. It was recommended I take part in their Pain Management Course which I did. This was an amazing 3 weeks I learned everything from Yoga to Mindfulness. Now though I was on about 4/5 different tablets and still could feel nothing only the pain in my backside. As part of my rehabilitation we were brought to an Open Day at The National Learning Centre in Sandymount to see if we were interested in taking a course to retrain. This was to become a very special place for me and another part of my very important journey. As part of the course I had to attend an assessment day to make sure that this was the course for me. I was so nervous and of course my head told me “I was mad and was not good enough” Billy, who was my course tutor gave me a pencil and a sheet of paper and asked me to sketch 3 logos, talk about freezing on the spot, I said to him “where is the computer because I can’t draw.” I sat for ages just looking at the paper and nothing happened. Then I started scribbling and before I knew it I had drawn 3 logos believe me when I say this I was the one more shocked than anyone else. I spent 2 years there and yes I learned many skills that made me become a great Graphic Designer. I could now hold my head high and felt so confident
when someone asked me what did I do, my reply was “I am a Graphic Designer.” During the next couple of years I studied Graphic Design while continuing to attend Partner in Education. While doing this, I had the opportunity to attend workshops given by Jim Mc Grath, a Mediator from Belfast, he taught me how to solve conflict through Restorative Practices. I loved the course very much. I could bring home practical ways to help deal with conflict in my home. I didn’t get it always right with my children but it did cut down on the arguments. In 2012 as part of a group we made a DVD to help other parents deal with conflict. I never in my life thought I could act. This was one fear I faced and with the great support of everyone we made the DVD. It was launched in May 2012. It is still been used today to help and encourage people to change how they deal with conflict. While my studies were great and kept me busy, other paths were now opening up for me. Really another world altogether and this was bringing me to places I would have never imagined were possible. People started entering my life. Some of them were pretty strange and some were just not of this world really! I must have been asking for teachers to teach me and one by one they entered. I started to connect with the angels, even though I was a very Big Doubting Thomas. Something inside me knew to be open to the possibility of this invisible world. I could not explain the little odd occurrences that kept happening to me. One time driving home my whole car was covered with white feathers I remember my children asking me what was happening and I told them, “when you see a white feather it means there is
an angel near by”, their reply was “ so why are they attacking the car!” Another time, was when I visiting a church in Dublin and a man approached me and gave me a message and when I turned around he was gone! I experienced many more strange things, some I still can’t believe they happened. Probably the biggest life change that happened was meeting Janice from Belfast. She told me that I was a healer and I would heal many people that had similar life experiences to mine and that I would give inspirational talks to lots of people all over the world. I found this so hard to believe as I never spoke in front of people in my life. Janice traveled from Belfast to teach me all about the angels and different modes of healing. My good friend Deirdre offered to teach me a different form of Reiki and Seichem . Now I began to feel comfortable as a Healer and would even tell people how important this was in my life. Since then I have met so many great people from all walks of life and have learned so much from everyone I met. The one person that has been there and never left me was my mum Aileen she has been a strength and inspiration to me. In 2013 I decided I wanted to continue with the Graphic Design and started studying for a HND in Graphic Design in Bray. This, I found at times very challenging as the work load was very heavy. I am just about finished it now and have put a lot of work into all my projects and hope to gain top results. The course gave me a whole new insight into Graphic Design and a new skill set too. I didn’t realize how busy my life was going to become. Some of my biggest highlights was, being asked to do a video interview for One Step Up, this is a website designed to give information
about Adult Education. The purpose of my interview was to inspire other learners to go back into education. As well as that I was asked to speak in front of about 70 Home School Liaison Community Officers about my experiences with them. I never imagined I could stand there with my head held and tell my story, I even cracked a joke or two, without being too nervous. In December 2014 I was asked to say a few words at a Graduation Ceremony in Rosyln Park about my time there. The Minister for State and about 300 people were there. Speaking from my heart I gave a little taste of my story so far. I remember looking out at everyone sitting there and I felt so inspired to tell the story, how I always felt like a nobody, but today I am a somebody and that somebody is Noeleen. I will not like anyone take this away from me. I felt so honored to be asked to do this and I can’t begin to describe how alive I become when I am speaking and sharing to people. I finish college on the 22 May and will be in court for my divorce on 4th June, these are two huge endings. I know that where there are endings there are always new beginnings. As my friend Janice told me, “This is just the beginning of your new book opening and the angels are standing waiting with the keys to open the new doorways for you.” How exciting is this! If you take one thing from my story it is that I have been so blessed and lucky that the right people came into my life and supported me.
‘If you’re willing to take that tiny step, people are there to help.’

THE
HIDDEN GIFT Tap into your own unique gift….. We all arrive in this world with many gifts and blessings. Each of us entrusted with a special gift that is ours. A gift that nobody else has, it is just for you. Many of us go through life not knowing our special gift our ever realising it. I know this now and sure hindsight is a wonderful thing. I discovered my hidden gift of poetry in the 50th year. No doubt my gift was always there, unfortunately it go locked away and stayed there for many years. My story began when I decided to attend a course called The Artist Way, this was going to be my gift
to myself for my big birthday, little did I know then it would change my life. I went along to this 12 week course with no expectations. My only goal was to give myself these two hours of “my time” each week; I didn’t want to be the mother, sister, daughter, or friend. Just “me” showing up and being present, that was all I wanted to do. On my drive home the first night my head was flooded with words. They just arrived like a stream flowing from me. I wrote them down
Inspired by the movie called ‘The Way of the Peaceful Warrior’ by Dan Millman
CONSCIOUS AWARENESS There is never nothing going on. In this wonderful world we dwell upon, There is always something for us to see, Something quite “extraordinary” Like waking up to a summer day, With the symphony of bird song……A breath away, And the sun gently rising to let us know, To gather some strength from its warm radiant glow, So take in the view ever present and new, Wonder at the beauty that surrounds you. Take time to notice what’s not going on, And give thanks for the times when nothing is wrong, For its moments like these that lifts up our Soul, Renewal of Spirit, making us whole. By Breda Mc Donald
when I arrived home and my first piece of poetry was born. My poetry continued to arrive on my journey home each week and then as the course continued my creativity flooded my head just like a river bursting its banks. It was unstoppable. I remember pulling my car over to the side of the road to write the lines down on tissue paper and getting out of bed in the middle of the night so I could get the lines out of my head in order to sleep. I truly loved this gift I unearthed through this amazing course. It has brought great joy to me. I
continue to write when I am inspired and it always amazes me that I can do this. I never take my gift for granted because it is precious and my words help to bring healing and comfort to others. What is it! If you don’t know, then why not attend The Artist Way Course and discover your hidden talents. You will not be disappointed.

Reflexology How I got into Reflexology.....
5
I
was looking for a career change and had always loved aromatherapy and knew a lot about it. I saw a course running in Navan titled "Complementary Therapist" qualification and as it included aromatherapy, I decided to go for it. To complete the course, I also had to qualify in massage and Reflexology. I knew little about Reflexology, but decided to go ahead with the course.
As soon as the Reflexology module started, I was hooked. I couldn't believe that a treatment like this could balance the entire body like it did. I did more and more research and realised that it had been around for thousands of years. I completed the course, but it was not until I started to treat my own clients with it, did I realise the power it holds. I have seen such balance in the body, overwhelming results, tears, laughter, hugs and amazement. After 10 years of practice, I still have lots to learn and am still in awe of the power of Reflexology at every treatment. I plan to continue my training and do Reflexology in cancer care and Reflexology in fertility. What next?
What is Reflexology?
What is it?
Reflexology, or zone therapy, is an ancient holistic technique that uses pressure- point massage to restore the flow of energy (chi) throughout the entire body. Based on principles around since early China and Egypt

The Universal Code
H
ave you been seeing the numbers 11:11 or 1:11 every time you look at your digital clock or computer screen? Are you continually seeing numbers in sequences like on car registration plates or on billboards? Do you have a favourite number that almost seems to stalk you in your life such as house numbers, id cards or hotel rooms, irrespective of where you are in the world? As a Numerologist, I experienced countless (excuse the pun) clients asking about this phenomenon, which has become Omni-present since the year 2000 – take note of the triple 000. When a number repeats, it is a cosmic signal. It is the Universe’s way of directing your attention to a major issue or theme that needs to be addressed/acknowledged in your life. These numbers are reaching more people!
Scientists and researchers are taking a keen interest in this occurrence. Many feel that this increased awareness of numbers is representative of a greater global consciousness and connection awakening. Let’s look at the 11:11 experience and why it is presenting itself to so many people globally, including you! The number 11 is the first of the Master Numbers in Numerology and this relates to higher spiritual awareness and awakening. This phenomenon is resonating on a global scale as one, whether we accept this or not. The 11’s represent intuition, and for me demonstrates the importance of male/female balance. Seeing 11:11, or 11’s in general, noticing how often you see it, means that you are developing an awareness of synchronicity, your mind is opening; you are developing spiritual
consciousness. You may notice that you are drawn to topics such as spirituality, science, metaphysics and nature. The number one is representative of us, as people being part of one giant consciousness, in essence we are all one. Numbers are something many of us take for granted but from the moment we are born we are weighed, measured and our date of birth is accounted for. Numbers will present themselves throughout our day and life as messages and below is a short summary of what numbers can mean in terms of our life experience. When numbers come in sequences of three, it is usually a major message. Finally, numbers will be with you all through your life, so take note of them as they have great information to impart.

Walking a Labyrinth
10
WHAT IS A LABYRINTH? A labyrinth is not a maze. It has only one path to the center and back out, which is the meaning of the term unicursal (one line). It has no blind alleys or dead ends. The path twists and turns back on itself many times before reaching the center. Once at the center, there is only one way back out. In this way, it symbolizes a journey to a predetermined destination (such as a pilgrimage to a holy site), or the journey through life from birth to spiritual awakening to death.
HISTORY OF LABYRINTH WALKING Labyrinth images are found in many cultures. The term is of ancient Greek origin, and the labyrinth in the palace of Knossos in Crete figures in Greek mythology. It is found in Hindu and Hopi images among many others. In Christian usage, a labyrinth was constructed in stone in the floor of Chartres cathedral near Paris, around the year 1200 CE. The faithful could make a pilgrimage journey to the cathedral and complete it by
walking the labyrinth as the final symbol of a journey to the Holy Land. It was also used as a an act of repentance for sins.
WALKING A LABYRINTH You only have to enter and follow the path. However, your walk can encompass a variety of attitudes. It may be joyous or somber. It might be thoughtful or prayerful. You may use it as a walking meditation. Adults are often serious in the labyrinth. Children most often

run in and out as fast as they can in a playful manner.
through a bow, nod, or other gesture and then enter.
When you walk a labyrinth choose your attitude. From time to time choose a different attitude. Make it serious, prayerful, or playful. Play music or sing. Pray out loud. Walk alone and with a crowd. Notice the sky. Listen to the sounds. Most of all pay attention to your experience.
2. Experience: Walk purposefully. Observe the process. When you reach the center, stay there and focus several moments. Leave when it seems appropriate. Be attentive on the way out.
1. Focus: Pause and wait at the entrance. Become quiet and centered. Give acknowledgment
3. Exit: Turn and face the entrance. Give an acknowledgement of ending, such as “Amen.” 4. Reflect: After walking the labyrinth reflect back on your
experience. Use journaling or drawing to capture your experience. 5. Walk often.
There is no right way to walk a labyrinth.

Eating Meals with a SMILE When we bring a meal to the table it is important to be present to that meal. Sit and enjoy the sight of the food, the colours the smells. Food is one of our basic needs and we cannot live without it. When we bring our awareness to each meal we become more grateful for what we are about to eat and in turn this food will be the best nourishment for us in that moment. Remember what is involved in bringing this meal to the table. Not just your work but the many hands that touched your food before you. The farmers who planted and harvested the food and watched it grow. The drivers who got it to the markets or shops. The shop keepers. There
may be lots more people in between. When we remember the work that went into bringing our food to the table it makes for a much more joyful and pleasurable experience. It brings an understanding of how we are all connected to everything in this world. “We are one”. Eating in this way allows us to really taste and appreciate our nourishing foods and it will also help us make healthy choices at meal times. When we bring gratitude into every meal we remember how blessed we are to be sitting at a table, in a nice home, eating from beautiful plates with people around who love and care for us.

Mindfulness in Action There is nothing enlightened about playing small, nor about chasing for the ultimate goal at the expense of everyday living. Every day brings me a deeper understanding of the magic of our bodies and their own innate ability to heal. Everything we ever needed to know and all that is needed in order achieve oneness and heal, is buried deep within ourselves.
Our job is to find it. 14
And we can best achieve this by retrieving deep inside through mindfulness and meditation. I’m not talking about sitting on a cushion trying to quieten our mind but about mindfulness in action. As you awaken in the morning, give yourself time to gather yourself in your body, to connect with your breath, to watch its rise and fall. Turn your attention to your whole body and observe how it feels. Allow some gentle movements to emerge naturally and give these your full attention. Don’t allow your mind to distract you. Instead bring your full focus to the breath flowing in and out of your body. How deep is your breath? How does your body respond to it? Is there any part of your body feeling a little tender or constricted? Can you bring the breath to this part of your body? How does it feel then? Is the constriction or the discomfort
dissipating? Allow your body to tell you how it wants to stretch, being very gentle and attentive to all parts and particularly those in need of extra TLC… As you step into the shower, allow your skin to feel the warm water, its cleansing and purifying effect on your energy. Make it your intention to allow whatever residues from previous experiences to go down the drain and remain in the shower until you feel totally refreshed and re-energised. In choosing your clothes for the day, select the colours that compliment how you feel in this moment, and the outfit that makes you feel positive and oozing with self-confidence. Choose to have for breakfast food that is high on energy and natural vitamins. Sit down and take your time, tasting each mouthful fully. Do this for each meal of the day. As you clean the dishes, feel the warm water on your hands, observe your breath and stay present to the task at hand. Bring that same awareness into every action of the day. When you are in company, allow yourself to really listen to what they are saying and how this makes you feel. As you respond to them, make sure this comes from your heart. Even when you need to establish clearer boundaries with this person, ensure that your words and the tone of your voice are filled with
kindness and compassion for yourself and this person. Take time out during the day for a leisurely walk somewhere where you can connect with nature and give yourself breathing space. As you prepare for the night, release any worries or anxiety about the day that is ending and the one ahead of you tomorrow and ask your spirit guides or guardian angels to take care of this for you. Make yourself comfortable and scan your whole body, giving each body part full permission to release, relax and let go. Take your time.
Some areas may need plenty of breath…. Finally surround yourself with your favourite colour and let your body gently slip into a restful sleep by keeping your full focus on your breathing, repeating to yourself
“Breathing in I calm my whole body, breathing out I calm my whole body…” Let me know how you get on! May you be well and happy and free from fear…..
“Breathing in I calm my whole body, breathing out I calm my whole body…”
