IN 2023, LET’S RENDER THE CITY LIMITLESS
Every artist possesses a unique storytelling prowess, e ortlessly evoking emotions that resonate within us. They remind us that art is not confined solely to galleries or stages, but rather flourishes within the city's streets, gardens, and hidden corners. Through their artistic endeavours, they beckon us to break free from the constraints of daily life and embrace the transformative power of artistic expression.
We extend a warm invitation to open your hearts and minds to the enchantment that lies in wait.

We sincerely thank you for embarking on this exhilarating voyage with us. Together, let us celebrate the artists who liberate our city from limitations and breathe life into it with their remarkable work. Welcome to the 2023 Dublin Fringe Festival, where art defies boundaries, and the possibilities are truly extraordinary.
Dublin city has been sleeping, preening, trapping tourists and consuming cultural hubs. This year festival artists are holding the map to the light; seeing sprawling complexes, huddles of artists shifting o the sides, hotels booming up up up, the echo of dancefloors that once beat through city nights. In this year’s festival the individual and the communal meet to activate our city streets, lit by a great glowing grid, the energy of these stories ready to write the city into existence, the artists that bring it into being.
The artists in this year’s programme are making moves: thinking, dancing, laughing, scrawling sense into the streets, breathing life into our little pop-up town. They’re showing us the forgotten gust and pulse of the beating ecosystem that is our city. They’re leaning into the singular, the specific, inviting us to reimagine our place in our re-expanded world by examining the minutiae. They’re setting the compass for how to navigate our newly singular identities in the playground of our recovered city, exploring how we work, date, dance, exist.
Dublin Fringe Festival 2023 is busting us out of solitude in a ball of joyous, communal energy. The artists in this year’s programme are drawing us through the windows of cramped Dublin apartments, connecting us to the bloom of nature in urban spaces, bringing us to secret spaces. Follow their lead.
