Ryan Hanyak

Director II, Operations

Ryan Hanyak currently serves as Director II, Operations for J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Ryan oversees Intermodal Field Operations in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. His primary responsibility is safely executing all of J.B. Hunt’s Intermodal freight across five locations.

Ryan started his career in 2012 with J.B. Hunt Intermodal (JBI) as a driver manager in Stockton, CA. in 2015, he moved to the Seattle area to oversee operations in Washington and Western Canada. Prior to his current role, Ryan was the Regional Safety Manager for JBI’s West Region. Ryan is also a board member in J.B. Hunt’s Employee Resource Group GROW (Growing and Retaining Outstanding Women) and is a facilitator for JBI’s Leaders 201 Operations Management class.

Prior to delving into the world of Transportation and Logistics, Ryan was a Chef and Restauranteur in Northern California.

Ryan earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. He currently lives in the Seattle area with his wife Nina. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys cooking, canoeing, and constantly exploring his adopted state.
