The pandemic shutdown the Alameda Comedy Club just before it was set to open in March. The owner, Patrick Ford, transformed the parking lot into an outdoor venue. He was not about to let the pandemic stop his dreams from coming true.

In partnership with Tinker Tin Trailer Company, Tillman and Maggie, owners of Alta Colina Winery, decided to share the winery’s gorgeous setting to create a unique visitor experience. Each meticulously restored trailer sleeps two and comes with an ice box, coffeemaker, and linens. In true camping style, the bathroom and shower are conveniently nearby. A communal cooking area includes barbecue grill, cooktop, cookware, and a large farmhouse table that seats 12. Catered meals can be arranged and restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores are just minutes away. Guests can hike among the vineyards, swim from the shaded platform that extends into the pond, sunbathe, arrange yoga or massages, or gather outside for dining and, of course, wine tasting. Private tastings and wine blending classes are available, and the sunset view from the scenic Sundowner Deck while sipping a glass of wine is sublime.

The Peasant & The Pear, Chef Rodney Worth’s first “jewel” in his crown, is the first of many successful award-winning restaurants owned and operated by Chef Rodney. Considered the flagship restaurant within the Worth Group, Chef Worth prides himself on serving classic “peasant cuisine” at this historic downtown Danville location. The diverse menu includes classic dishes with a modern flare along with beautifully composed salads, sandwiches, entrees, and house made pastries. The group does outreach nationwide with shelters, rescue groups and members to promote pet adoption, no-kill animal rescue, and spay-and-neuter practices. Best Friends is one of the largest no-kill animal rescues in the U.S.
