DUKE OPHTHALMOLOGY RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Duke Ophthalmology Residency program is one of the most highly regarded ophthalmology residency programs in the nation. Our leadership and faculty are dedicated to clinical and research excellence, training highly competent and ethical physicians who become the next generation of thought leaders in ophthalmology.
Duke Ophthalmology residents receive world-class training in medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases, and participate in research, presenting at national and international conferences.

A n ACGME accredited four-year program, Duke Ophthalmolog y is engaged in all clinic al subspecialties, providing out standing clinic al and surgic al experience and exploration of innovative imaging and therapies.
• Post graduate year one is an integrated ophthalmology / internal medicine internship with three months dedicated to ophthalmology

Perhaps one of the greatest strengths of the program is the qualit y and breadth of the facult y in the Depar tment of Ophthalmolog y. The full-time facult y consist s of more than 9 0 clinicians and researchers across all ophthalmolog y subspecialt y areas.
These individuals are highly accomplished and produc tive ac ademicians, and many are considered leaders in their fields. W ithout exception, the facult y members enjoy teaching and contribute their time and energ y generously to the Duke Ophthalmolog y Residenc y Training Program.
