Greetings from the IPEC Center! Fall 2023 has been a busy and exciting time in the Center and across our health professions education programs. From the classroom to the clinic to the kickball diamond, over 1000 students have had a chance to spend time getting to know each other and the ins and outs of IP teamwork. We are also welcoming new members to the IPEC team and our Student Advisory Committee. Enjoy this first edition of our newsletter and please reach out with your ideas and inspirations as we grow IP collaborations at Duke!

Exciting news is on the horizon as the IPEC Center prepares to usher in a new era of collaboration and innovation this year! We are thrilled to announce the creation of a brand-new and improved Charter for our esteemed Student Advisory Committee. The upcoming Charter promises to be a transformative guide for the committee, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing interprofessional education. We've listened to your feedback and integrated valuable insights to create goals that reflects the evolving needs and aspirations of our student body.


Janelle Bludorn to Join IPEC Team The Duke IPEC Center is pleased to announce that Janelle Bludorn, MS, PA-C, has been selected as the next Assistant Director for the PA program in the

Janelle will join the IPEC Center team beginning January 1, 2024 to continue their work in design and delivery of innovative IP educational programs for learners across the health system. . She has an avid interest in health professions education and IPE with a particular passion for simulation and use of point of care ultrasound. Janelle will succeed Nick Hudak, PhD, MPA, MSEd, PA-C, a longtime innovator in IPE at Duke and inaugural member of the IPEC team.

Our Haunted Hospital event was not only a night of fun but also a testament to the power of interprofessional education.
