CAMBRIDGE CAMPUS

HIGHLIGHTS:

Outstanding A-level results in the college’s first ever A-level cohort

– One student achieved a stunning straight five A* grades

– 92% of students earned places at Russell Group Universities and 42% at the G5 universities of Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College and UCL

Sarah, an 18-year-old student from Singapore, has been accepted to Sidney Sussex College at Cambridge University to study Medicine. Sarah achieved four A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics.

Genius teenager Cesare Mencarini built a nuclear fusor at CSFC. He’s

secured a prestigious year of industry work experience before applying for a degree in engineering in 2025.

CARDIFF CAMPUS

HIGHLIGHTS:

90.6% A*-A grades

87.5% of all students achieved three or more A grades in this year’s results and 107 students achieved all A*-A grades

– 40% achieved places at the coveted G5 universities – Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL and Imperial College.

– 26% of students accepted to study medicine this year

– 10% of the Cardiff Sixth Form College cohort achieving their places at Oxbridge

– Six students gained at least five A* grades and one student from Cardiff, Cathy Lou, achieved a stunning six A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chinese and has an offer to read Medicine at Hong Kong University.

Inspired by watching Brian Cox on TV, Leo Rawson from CSFC Cardiff has secured an offer to study Physics at Oxford University after collecting four A*s at A-level.

Davis, an ambitious Canadian student secures offer to study Law at Merton College, Oxford.

HIGHLIGHTS:

GCSE results for 2024 grade 9-7 grade 9-4

81.1% 97.5%

Braden attained seven Grade 9s and one Grade 8, all while playing the role of the genie in the college production of Aladdin and participating in debating.

GCSEs

Helen, achieved seven grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7. She also won the Eisteddfod Poetry competition earlier this year.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Earlscliffe is a non-selective school dedicated to offering a personalised pathway for each student, ensuring every individual receives the support they need to succeed. With its fully inclusive approach, the 2024 cohort has achieved remarkable success, securing places at prestigious universities.

Of particular note this year are the number of students who achieved distinctions on the oneyear course, Diploma in Business and Management, who are now set to progress onto exciting new opportunities.

Anna was the Head Girl and an absolute example of the Earlscliffe core values. She worked hard and is a caring and supportive peer. She gained AAAB in her A-level grades and is off to study History of Art at The Courtauld.

Anamaria joined Earlscliffe for GCSEs and has now achieved AAAB in her A-levels. She will study Graphic and Media Design at UAL.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Yonglin (top right) joined Earlscliffe in September with only a B1 level of English, but his determination and commitment to his studies led to an impressive achievement in the one-year GCSE programme with outstanding final grades of 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, and 6, a testament to his academic excellence and dedication to personal growth.

Chrito (mid right) completed the one-year GCSE programme with outstanding final grades of 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, and 6, demonstrating particular talent in mathematics. We are confident that he will continue to excel as he embarks on the Earlscliffe A-level programme, where his abilities and dedication will undoubtedly shine.

Orlando (bottom right) successfully completed the one-year GCSE programme with five excellent grades, a reflection of his hard work and determination. We are confident that as he continues through the Earlscliffe A-level programme, he is well on his way to achieving his dream of studying business at a British university.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Excellent results at FAC with 33% achieving A*/A, almost double the pre-COVID results in 2019 (17%). This improvement ran through the rest of the results: A*-B at 63% in contrast with 48% pre-COVID. A*-C grades also saw a similar increase from 76% to 84%.

– Students beat their predicted grades by almost 20%

– A record number of FAC students have been accepted at top art schools, including the Slade, Central St Martins, and Chelsea. Many others have places at Russell Group universities including UCL, King’s, Edinburgh, Durham, Bristol and The Courtauld Institute, amongst others. As always, a few students will go on to study abroad in Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.

A-LEVELS

– Sophie achieved superb results with A*s in English, Film Studies and History of Art A levels, plus an A* for her EPQ. She secured the grades to study English at the University of Bristol.

– Maddie is following a Foundation Art course at UAL for a year, before applying to Oxford to study Fine Art. She achieved A*s in Fine Art, History and English.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Outstanding results in GCSE exams with remarkable improvements from pre-pandemic levels. 62% students achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths, significantly outperforming last year’s national average of 45% and the 43% seen before the pandemic.

Across all subjects, 22% of students secured top grades 9-7, a 7% rise from 2018. Even more impressively, 80% of students achieved grades 9-4, marking a 15% increase from prepandemic figures.

Particularly outstanding results were in Film Studies, Photography and Religious Studies.

Despite a very small A-level cohort of 8 pupils, HCH sixth form achieved some outstanding results.

Excellent results from this year’s GCSE students with over half of all grades being awarded 9-8. An exceptional performance from Julian and Adit who both achieved grade 9 for all on their subjects. Over 70% A*/B grades.

Pia (pictured right) has been at KS since Y7 as one of our KS Foundation students. She has represented the school incredibly well throughout her 5 years here, both as Senior School Captain and Wellbeing Ambassador. Her hard work over KS4 paid off with outstanding final grades of 9,8,8,9,9,9,9,8,9 and 6. She heads off to Sixth Form at Latymer Upper.

– These outstanding GCSE results are a 28.8% increase over the last year.

– 100% of our Y10 students achieved 9-7 (A*-A).

– We are especially proud of our Year 11 and Y10 Languages results (English, Chinese, Arabic and Latin) where 100% of our students achieved 9-7 (A*-A).

– 100% of our students achieved 9-7 (A*-A) in English Literature and Language.

The inaugural cohort of A-level students received their A-level results, with over half of all grades being awarded A* to B.

– Molly is off to study Law at Bristol University

– Kiral is off to become a pilot, studying ‘Aviation Operations with a Commercial Pilots Licence’ at University of West London

– Alessia’s creative talent will continue to shine and develop by studying for an Art Foundation qualification at City and Guilds Art School, a launch pad for budding artists.

– Rakan and Ates will be directing their entrepreneurial talents to Accounting and Finance at the University of Surrey and Business Management and Digital Innovation at Regent’s University, London.

– Karan’s mathematical brain will be well exercised at City, University of London, where he will study Economics

HIGHLIGHTS:

GCSE results for 2024 grade 9-7 grade 9-4 53% 96%

Over three quarters of our Modern Language results were 9-8

– 50% of grades in Biology and Computer Science at 9-8, just pipping Chemistry (46%) and Physics (46%) on top of the 100% Statistics GCSE awarded 9-8 and 80% of Further Mathematics grades also at 9-8.

HIGHLIGHTS:

This year’s cohort achieved highest ever percentage of A* and A grades to date.

– 42% of the 42 pupils achieved the top grades. This compares to the national average, where 27.6% of entries were graded at A*/A.

Great overall improvement in results, particularly in the A*-B with 57%, an increase from the past two years and in line with pre-covid results.

One pupil, Nathan gained an impressive 12 GCSEs, 11 of which were at grade 9. An amazing achievement. Nathan managed to balance his GCSE studies whilst having the responsibility of being one of the Head Prefects, he also gained an A* in his special project qualification and delivered a very impressive Ted Talk
