MESSAGE FROM THE SPONSOR

My wife and I moved to Dumbleton in December 2019 and it immediately felt like home. The village community is fantastic with an amazing group of residents giving their time and energy, organising events centred around the Cricket Club, Village Club and Village Hall.

My day job is as director and co-owner of land and property agency, Sheldon Bosley Knight. I am honoured therefore, for Sheldon Bosley Knight to sponsor Dumbleton Cricket Club and join the committee charged with running it. Sheldon Bosley Knight was founded in 1843 and much like Dumbleton Cricket Club we see ourselves as custodians of that business in order to leave it in a better position for future generations. The team’s recent successes at Lords are due in no small part to the army of volunteers involved in the day-to-day running of the club – the tea ladies, ground staff and junior coaches. It is an enormous privilege to be involved in a club with such a proud heritage and wish it all the best for the forthcoming season. For those who don’t know us, Sheldon Bosley Knight is a local firm of land and property professionals involved in the sale and letting of properties. We also have a suite of professional services including planning, architecture, rural estate management and auctions.
