Friday offers a comprehensive group of outstanding Arts & Crafts lamps, including a Duffner & Kimberly Flaming Sword Table lamp, a magnificent Arts & Crafts brass chandelier with monk’s heads decoration, and an ornate American leaded glass ceiling shade. Notable makers include Bradley & Hubbard, Duffner & Kimberly, Handel, Hibbel, and Quezal. A partially restored 1919 Packard Motor Car Company, Model ‘E’ delivery truck, #147. Art work including a fine bronze sculpture of a Javelin thrower, 12” H. x 30” L., a Fred Sanders brass business plaque dated June 17th, 1875, an oil painting signed “JLB” and dated 1914 of an American sailing ship in a sea battle. Other works by Henry T. Harvey (Brit. b1908), Charles Ewing (Amer. b1946) to name a few. Silver items including a Reed & Barton silver plate coffee service, in the Regent pattern and a W.M. Lemp Brewing Co. silver award plate, c1900, mounted in a shadowbox frame. A silver miniature French silver filigree “Renault 1907” automobile. Firearms including a Walther P-5, 9mm, semi-automatic pistol, 1986 and a Morixa Elbar made In Spain, 12 gauge magnum shotgun. Furniture items including an early (1910) International Business Machines, oak framed, employee time clock, 35” H x 17” W. x 35” D. and a twelve drawer carved oak chest, C1900. A fine assortment of Chinese collectables including planters, an umbrella stand and carved jade pieces. Toys including a Steiff teddy bear, a convertible child’s rocking horse and a cast iron miniature horse drawn carriage. Tribal art including Native American baskets, African carved items including a throne chair, c1900. Fine jewelry items including an Omas “Apollo 11” 30th Anniversary, limited edition, 18kt white gold fountain pen and a 14kt white gold heart pendant with eight round rubies, weighing 1.00cts and 0.90cts in diamond accents. The Saturday auction opens with a classic assemblage of Georg Jensen sterling flatware and hollowware; of note, the ‘Blossom’ sterling tea and coffee set with tray. Georg Jensen was one of the most influential silversmiths of the twentieth century; his work embodied the Danish philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement, or “skønvirke”. Following, are the property of numerous private collectors: a Zsolnay Hungarian iridescent ceramic planter; fine jewelry including ruby, diamond, gold, and cameo bracelets, necklaces, and rings; furniture by Baker and Hickory Chair, and other furnishings in the French, English, and Italian tastes; numerous lots of Chinese porcelains; ‘Tommy’ crystal stemware by St. Louis, along Lalique and Waterford crystal and glass wares; a collection of 19th century English Staffordshire pottery lamps, figural groups, and spill vases. We end our sale with American Brilliant period cut glass articles and Royal Doulton porcelains.

CONDITIONS OF SALE The following Conditions of Sale are DuMouchelles’ and the Consignor’s agreement with the Buyer relative to the property listed in the auction catalog. The Conditions of Sale, the glossary, and all other contents of the catalog are subject to amendment by DuMouchelles by the posting of notices or by oral announcements made during the sale. All property is offered by DuMouchelles as agent for the Consignor unless the catalog indicates otherwise.

Mouchelles may retain as collateral security for the buyer’s obligations to DuMouchelles, any property or monies held or received by DuMouchelles for the account of the buyer. Payment will not be deemed to have been made in full until DuMouchelles has collected funds represented by checks, or, in the case of bank or cashier’s checks, until DuMouchelles has confirmed their authenticity. Buyer agrees that a 6% per month late charge will be imposed on the total purchase price if payment is not made in accordance with all of the conditions set forth herein and agrees to pay any returned check charges that may be incurred.

In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, the sale record of DuMouchelles shall be conclusive in all respects.

17. Packing and Shipping. Shipping arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility and expense. If needed, a list of shippers is available from DuMouchelles. Buyer agrees that packing and handling of purchased lots by DuMouchelles employees are undertaken solely as a courtesy for the convenience of the buyers, and DuMouchelles is not responsible for damage or breakage which may occur during packing and handling and shipping by DuMouchelles or of other carriers or packers of purchased lots, whether or not recommended by DuMouchelles. Packing and handling of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the buyer. In the case of fragile items, DuMouchelles in their sole discretion may decline to package the items.
