Friday features fine porcelains including a pair of Dresden cobalt blue and bronze vases, a Herend hand painted ribbon tray and bowl, a large collection of Royal Doulton ‘Flambe’ figurines, Anna Weatherley, Hungarian hand painted porcelain plates. Vintage crystal including Sevres, a large group of Lalique figures, plates and sculptures and French perfume bottles. Fine art including oil paintings by Stephen Parrish (American 1846-1938) and Huang Zhong Yang (Chinese b.1949). Vintage Olympic posters including the German 1936 Berlin summer and the Garmisch-Partenkirchen winter Olympics and a1940 Helsinki, Finland Olympic poster (which were never held due to World War 2). A vintage Tiffany bronze desk set including blotter end caps, note pad holder and pen tray holder. Jewelry items including a Rolex, Oyster perpetual, gentleman’s wristwatch, a 22kt yellow gold necklace, 12 .1 grams wt., a 14kt white gold and 1.24 kt Mozambique oval cut ruby ring. Hand woven wool carpets including Persian Heriz, Mahal and Sarouk and more. Novelty items including a Jennings and Aristocrat slot machines and a collection of antique ‘National’ cash registers. Saturday’s session opens with two rare Tiffany Favrile glass and enamel tall vases, circa 1910. The sale continues with a sterling monumental vase retailed by Detroit’s Wright Kay Co. as well as an abstract sculpture by the noted artist Shlomi Haziza. Of special interest is a three volume set of “Indian Tribes of North America” published in 1855 by McKenney and Hall with 119 brilliantly illustrated lithographs. The Sale continues with a Baldwin semi concert grand piano from Detroit’s prominent DiChiera family. From the Margaret Barton estate, Bloomfield Hills, we offer an 18th Century maple American highboy, handsome Federal chest, period mirrors and a selection of fine jewelry. Unusual and rare 19th Century carved Italian desk, a carved walnut Italian center table, Vienna wall clock, Herschede tall case clock, sterling flatware and hollowware, Chinese ceramics, leaded glass lamps, and a choice of over 25 oriental carpets follow.

The Sunday session features an important oil painting by Bernard Buffet, entitled, “Le Cafetiere Blue” and an oil on canvas by Kim Sou, entitled, “Les Deux Amies”. Bronze sculptures by Marshall Fredericks, Kathe Kollwitz, Francisco Zuniga, Tomas Chavez Morado and Lynn Chadwick as well as a pair of life size carved marble seated lions are also special highlights of the session. Fine arts collectors will also be interested in paintings by Jan van Chelminski, Nicola Simbari, Alex de Andries, Claude Venard, David Einstein, Ludwig Muninger, C.R. Parker, Ben Kamihira, David Emile Joseph De Noter, Douglas Arthur Teed, Sosen Mori, Michele Cascella, Claude Venard and A. Kies (KPM porcelain plaque) to name but a few. CONDITIONS OF SALE The following Conditions of Sale are DuMouchelles’ and the Consignor’s agreement with the Buyer relative to the property listed in the auction catalog. The Conditions of Sale, the glossary, and all other contents of the catalog are subject to amendment by DuMouchelles by the posting of notices or by oral announcements made during the sale. All property is offered by DuMouchelles as agent for the Consignor unless the catalog indicates otherwise.

Mouchelles may retain as collateral security for the buyer’s obligations to DuMouchelles, any property or monies held or received by DuMouchelles for the account of the buyer. Payment will not be deemed to have been made in full until DuMouchelles has collected funds represented by checks, or, in the case of bank or cashier’s checks, until DuMouchelles has confirmed their authenticity. If any dispute arises after the sale, the sale record of DuMouchelles shall be conclusive in all respects.

17. Packing and Shipping. Shipping arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility and expense. If needed, a list of shippers is available from DuMouchelles. Buyer agrees that packing and handling of purchased lots by DuMouchelles employees are undertaken solely as a courtesy for the convenience of the buyers, and DuMouchelles is not responsible for damage or breakage which may occur during packing and handling and shipping by DuMouchelles or of other carriers or packers of purchased lots, whether or not recommended by DuMouchelles. Packing and handling of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the buyer. In the case of fragile items, DuMouchelles in their sole discretion may decline to package the items.
