Anyone wishing to enter a showmanship class is asked to register with Betty Lou Scott before 12:00 p.m. on Sunday June 10. In an effort to increase the number of younger children showing an interest in the Angus breed, and in showmanship in general, we are again including a peewee showmanship class in the field day activities. This class is open to all children under the age of 9 (nine) as of January 1, 2012. In consideration of the young age of these children, it is recommended that the animals which they are showing be of good temperament and extremely well trained on the halter. In the peewee showmanship classes medallions will be awarded in the place of ribbons. These medallions will be on a ribbon which will be placed around the exhibitor’s neck, so that small hands do not have to handle a ribbon and an animal at the same time.
Accommodations in the area include the inns in Victoria, 5 minutes from Crapaud, and the DeSable Motel, 10 minutes from Crapaud. http://www.victoriabythesea.ca/accom.html http://search.tourismpei.com/search/OperatorDetails/name/DesableMotel/op_id/1387/qsid/4f8fbc6e5c2c30.2 0373372/ The finalized schedule, the list of Junior Heifer Show entries and a list of auction items will be available at www.peiangus.blogspot.ca, or by email from hcolodey@gmail.com on or before June 1.
