St Vincent’s bringing the ‘Razzle Dazzle’ to An Táin

IN ‘roaring twenties’ Chicago, Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her husband, Amos, to take the blame… until he discovers that he’s been duped and turns on Roxie.

Convicted and sentenced to death row, Roxie and another ‘merry murderess,’ Velma Kelly, compete for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the ‘American dream,’ fame, fortune and acquittal.

The talented students of Transition year 2023 at St Vincent’s Secondary School Dundalk are taking to the stage of An Táin Arts Centre under direction of their teachers Victoria O’Hagan, Dervilia Hargadon, Leanne O’Doherty, and Kathy McKeown. It is an amateur production presented by arrangement with concord the- atricals and was based on the book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse. Music and lyrics by Fred Ebb and John Kander, and the script adaptation by David Thompson. The show runs on Thursday, March 23rd and Friday March 24th at An Táin Arts Centre, with curtain up at 7:00pm.
