St. Malachy’s Girls are best in ireland

THree winning teams from the Dundalk Credit Union Primary Schools Quiz progressed to the Credit Union Development Association (CUDA) National Final which took place on Saturday, 4th March in the Tullamore Court Hotel.

Quiz teams from St. Malachy’s Girls School (Sophia McManemy, Orla

McCourt, Clodagh Degan and Gianna Grantusa), Scoil Mhuire na nGael (Fergal O’Toole, Ollie Kerr, rossa O’Malley & Shay Curran) and réalt na Mara NS (Donnach Minford, rory Murphy, eshiomugha Alexia Omoh and Audrey Akenji) put in fantastic effort on the day, cheered on by teachers, parents and team members from Dundalk Credit Union.

The level of competition was extremely high, with three tie breaker rounds required before St. Malachy’s Girls School emerged as the overall winners of the quiz. Huge congratulations to Sophia, Orla, Clodagh and Gianna who were full of pride returning to school with their all Ireland trophy.

The principal, teachers and students of St. Malachy’s Girls NS are extremely proud of the team and the celebrations are still ongoing.
