Hello! Its springtime in the air. Finally. It is time to take the first steps towards a great summer. New clothes is as natural as the sounds of the birds nesting around the corner. In this first issue of GoodLookin’News we will take a look at the DUNS Sweden Spring09 Collection. There are some big changes from the last collection, including new styles and new sizes. The prints are still the in the same playful manner, 100% organic and as unisex as it can be. We will also try to explain the rules and regulation surrounding Organic Production (GOTS). We are also very happy to be able to present images from the production in India. Enjoy this issue of GoodLookin’News.

Sizes This spring DUNS Sweden introduces four new sizes. Two sizes for the really small newborns; sizes 38 and 44. At the top of the scale we find 134 and 140, which take us up to 10 years. Since there are different ways to descibe sizes between Europe and USA, we have made a size explination on the next page. All brands have different ways to measure their clothes. DUNS Sweden has used two experts in this field to create a perfect making. But in the end one can only draw one conclusion; every child is unique and has their own size. Try the garment on to make sure it will fit beautifully!

Product Here are some photos from the proud production team in India. With over 4600 miles between the design office and the production line the constant communication over the internet is essential. A steady flow of images comes our way every week. Thanks to the digital cameras and the Internet we do not need to send garments from India to Sweden for every question that might arise. Still photos and sometimes moving pictures make the production smooth and enviromentally friendly. The final batch is shipped by boat.

Organic A lot of customers ask questions about the organic production. DUNS Sweden produce their clothes with 100% organic cotton certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). Every collection get a unique production code which prooves that the cotton used has been certified and checked by Control Union. Organic cotton is cotton that is grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides from plants which are not genetically modified. Though organic cotton has less environmental impact than conventional cotton, it costs more to produce. (wikipedia) For DUNS Sweden there were no other way than to produce organic. Organic production is one of three pilars of DUNS Sweden, the other two is unisex and unique. What is Control Union? The Control Union World Group is an international organization that offers inspection services, laboratory services, and certification services for a variety of programs including many Organic certification programs.
