THE CUNNINGHAM CORVETTE RETURNS

riggs Swift Cunningham was an American icon, racing driver, sportsman, race team owner, and Le Mans legend. He is credited with creating America’s fi rst modern sports cars after World War II and was responsible for manufacturing some of motorsports’ most storied race cars – especially, the stunning Cunningham C-4R & C4RK Le Mans racers and the beautiful 1952 Vignale bodied Cunningham C-3 grand touring sports car. In 1958, Briggs won both the SCCA C-modifi ed National Championship, as well as piloting the “Columbia” to win the prestigious America’s Cup sailing race that same year. Briggs was a dominant force in the American auto racing scene from 1950 to 1963 during which time he also built the most competitive American auto racing team of his era at Le Mans. In 1960, Briggs was asked by Zora Arkus Duntov, the “Father of the Corvette”, to take three Corvettes to Le Mans to see what they could do. That year, Briggs famously won the GT5.0 class fi nishing 8th overall, marking that brand’s fi rst win in International Motorsports in the number 3 Cunningham Corvette. It is this effort that Cunningham Automotive, Inc. is celebrating with our 60th Anniversary Cunningham Le Mans C8 Corvette. Only 60 of these numbered series C8s are to be produced. These very special cars are built to fully demonstrate the potential of the new C8 Corvettes prowess in a collaborative partnership with Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and Cunningham Automotive, Inc. Our new Cunningham Le Mans C8 Corvette is a modern supercar that starts life as a fully-loaded 3LT option level C8 with Z51 suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, 8-speed DCT transaxle (with Performance Ratio rear axle gearing), Lift Kit with Memory, Dual Tops (Body Color and Clear), Entertainment system with HUD, GT2 sport seats with Twilight Blue seat backs & Tension Blue trim and seat belt color scheme. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering then tunes the already impressive LT2 motor to 603HP, 580 ft/lb of Torque, resulting in an amazing 97 Naturally Aspirated HP/L from the 6.2L LT2. They achieved this by integrating a High Flow Performance Design Carbon Fiber Intake manifold, Corsa Ceramic Coated
