REFINED TASTE

Christine’s art showcases animals in all their beauty and majesty through her proprietary technique, ‘PaintShooting’. This painstaking process captures free fying falcons and horses in motion against a large-scale hand painted backdrop, resulting in a sensational, lifelike, and dynamic piece of art.

Inspired by a visit to a museum for Islamic art, she began creating tapestries and high value Gobelins. Gobelins are a type of tapestry that were traditionally produced in the Gobelins Manufactory in Paris, France, which was founded in the 17th century. Gobelins tapestries are known for their intricate detail, high quality, and large size. They were commissioned by royalty and aristocrats as well as the French government for use in palaces, churches, and other public buildings. Christine comments, “Creating a Gobelin tapestry is a time consuming task that requires a very special know how, but it is worth all the effort, resulting in a priceless piece of art ft for royalty.”

Inspired by the beauty of Arab women, Christine also designed an exclusive and modern line of scarves based on her paintings and tapestries. Each scarf tells a story about love and passion and makes a unique statement for preserving Arab traditions. The silk scarves are art objects in their own right and can be framed.

Christine’s art is intended to be a mirror of the rich legacy of Arab traditions, showcasing their beauty and depth. She draws inspiration from beautiful Arabic jewelry, calligraphy, architecture, poetry, and natural landscapes. The most important source of inspiration remains her conversations with Arab people, and their emotions, desires, and passions. Although she has extensively studied the region’s history, she remains most curious about its present and future.

Christine’s mission is to preserve and keep culture and traditions alive through her art. By visualizing Arab culture in a new way, she aims to help people identify with their history and take pride in their roots. She notes, “I strongly believe that in today’s globalized world, it is essential to preserve and celebrate cultural traditions. A sense of identity and pride in one’s origins is crucial for individuals and communities alike. As an artist, my mission is to visually reimagine and showcase Arabian culture and traditions in a fresh, innovative way. Through my art, I hope to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity and serve as a conduit between the Orient and Occident.”

Christine hopes her art will create a bridge of respect and admiration between Arab and Western cultures. “I would feel immensely proud if my artwork could contribute to strengthening the relationship between Europe and the Arab countries. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, and I believe that art has the power to bridge cultural divides and foster mutual understanding. It would be a great honor and joy for me to serve as an ambassador in promoting respect and admiration between Arabian and Western cultures. I strongly believe that without mutual understanding and respect for different traditions and customs, a peaceful world is impossible,” she says.

Christine notes that the public reaction to her artwork has been overwhelmingly positive. “I have not only a great respect and admiration for Arab culture but also a great love for the Arab people, which you will feel and fnd in my art. My ‘Declaration of Love’ is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty and richness of the Arab world.” schuebelgallery.com
