I prepared watercolor and colored pencil master plans, and worked with a professional illustrator and team of graphic designers to create marketing collateral and design guideline exhibits. Recreational trail system for cycling, boating, and pedestrians.


The community is characterized by brick sidewalks with historic pattern designs, and front yard ornamental fencing along park facing lots.

All

lots have greenway access to the nature preserve and overall project trail system.


I developed custom signage, gate, and fencing designs. I also developed lot layouts, property line locations, and setbacks based upon locations of existing large trees. Matrix of lot data, left.



N umerous custom-fabricated design details set the Swim and Fitness facility apart. I designed flush bronze depth markers in the official resort font, bronze handrails, and the brimming-edge stone coping. I developed glass tile details including stair nosings, racing lanes, and underwater tile mosaics on the pool floor.



At Longfield Stables, I developed vehicle circulation routes, entry gate designs, wayfinding elements, and custom signage details.

M y team worked with an

equestrian expert to lay out the fencing configurations and define circulation based upon the sequence of events that occur when a horse arrives at the facility.

The 173-acre equestrian facility has three barns, a covered arena, an FEI regulation dressage ring, a 5-acre turf event field, a crosscountry practice area, and numerous pastures and paddocks.

The

villa

design

was

driven

by

t h e need for flexibility. I created l a n dscape elements such as walls and g a t es to allow the villa to function a s two separate rental units needing p r i vacy from one another, or as one l a r ge unit for a family with household s ta f f.

At 1800 feet above sea level but only 11 miles away from the coast, this property has expansive views of the valley below. As a result of the dramatic terrain one takes a winding journey to reach the site, which is more than thirty minutes away from the nearest public road. Secluded within a 26-acre parcel, the compound is one of 300 residential sites within a 20,000 acre conservation area along the Central California coast.

In keeping with the rusticity of the site, I used tumbled travertine paving and stair treads with chiseled nosings. I designed a planting palette using regional plant materials which were caref ully selected for their ability to transition to the adjacent wild landscape.
