Converge
Location : Blok M Plaza Intersection
Term : 2023 | 6th semester
Type : Idea
Role : Visualization and Design
Status : Completed
/ Converge / refers to the act or process coming together or meeting at a common point. the merging or blending of separate ements, ideas, or entities into a unified whole.
04
process of common separate elwhole.
Current Context Situation: The transient space (Gulai Tikungan) activity tends to remove the purpose of the place (Sidewalk). This also happens on the intersection where people are frequent to cross within the congested traffic.
My take on the issue of ‘transient space’ is that transient spaces should not remove the purpose / activities of the place. Thus, the keyword of ‘Overlap the Spaces’ came as a base concept of overlapping thus providing possible transient spaces that will take place in the context.

The level below can still be connected through the transport box with the intention of transporting certain items such as food / product if the vendor is above deck.
The canopy mimics the trees as the initial context of the sidewalk had a row of trees. This made the architecture non-destructive towards nature, as it is some-what replaces them. It provides shading, as well as some hanging plants for the greeneries.
08
Elevating Space - The space elevates to provide extra available space will there be a transient activity occuring. It is controlled by the screen on the transport box.
Transport Box - The transport box is essentially a platform to put certain products to be transported vertically. The plate itself is 60 x 40 cm.
2023 | 6th Semester | Converge 09
By transforming sidewalks into a dynamic space where people and experiences come together. By overlapping these pathways, we create a harmonious convergence, facilitating connections and fostering a sense of community by providing transparencies between layers of overlap.

Self Fulfilling Architecture
Term : 2022 | 5th semester
Type : Idea - Technology Based
Role : Visualization and Design

Nature’s forces and recources are sometimes overlooked in making architecture. I have my stance on nature through a manifesto for this studio, and that is to borrow from nature. To borrow from nature, (or anything or anyone), we cannot disturb nor destroy, and give back what we borrow.
To give back — the building gives back -+110% Of the greens through green roofs and installation of rainwater harvester. The building uses a couple of different plantation to better the air around the site which was initially just an overgrown grass. It filters, while also gives more Oxygen.
12
In my opinion, what makes the building “alive” is electricity, and water. Both of which are self sufficient on the building and the building can provide itself, thus not destroying the nature, while there are effort to not disturb either.

The configuration is quite simple with grids configured diagonally. With that, I try to make the insides intrecate. So it is a rather intrecate system inside a simple configuration. As seen on the diagram above, the steel structure held the bridge with no restriction to the wind performance whatsoever. It holds the 10 meter span bridge as i dont want to use columns as columns will be bulky and restricts airflow even more.

Container-001
Term : 2020 | 1st semester
Type : visual Idea
Role : Visualization and Design Status : Completed
This project is the first time the class is introduced to a 3- dimensional computer aided drawing software, sketchup. On highschool, I got to play around with the software already as my interest towards 3D modelling is there already. I came in strong when it comes to the learning process on the class.
Inspired to be a fresh look in the morning, and a classy minimalist to the eyes of nocturnals. Designed to become an elegant housing for multifunctional booth. This 2400 mm wide, 4650 mm in length, and a 2700 mm tall container features an easy in and out access, and big sliders to connect outside space with minimal boundaries. Flexible functionality, Suitable for Coffee Booth, Mini Bakery, Fast Food Booth, or even a Ticket Box.

Hell of a run – a little story – Due to the hectic rush of the third semester, I did this task (Design, model, lighting setup, and render) in a night. I could not believe myself that i have that capability to do so. The morning of that night, is the presentation of this project (Lighting Course) and was given a complimentary feedback from the lecturer. I aced it.

Design Philosophy – Javanese (Including Myself) believes that batik Is full of philosophy of life. Batik is not just a unique piece of cloth that is given a motif, this dress holds a philosophy of perseverance, persistence, and pride. Pride of home. Thus, the lighting design is directed towards the home-y feeling, to welcome foreigners with the Javanese and Indonesian warmth to our culture.

In entering the store, we are greeted by several spotlights that acts as tasker to guide our activity inside the boutique. Ambient lightings also plays a big role in lighting up the whole room and highlighting the middle display. The reflective porcelain-like materials on the cashier, gives the freshness back into the customer before they exit the boutique.

Intermezzo – This is my kind of vibe and ambiance. This was from a course that focused on render, and we were practicing post processing. We were given the asset of the backdrop (which is on a sunny day). Thus all the lights and ambiance are created to my liking. Cozy.

Hyundai motor company, often abbreviated to Hyundai motors, is a 55-years old South Korean automotive company. Recently, their electric cars and automotive technologies are spotlighted in the market. On this project, the pavilion can showcase the history, parts of their technology and concept parts through display panels and pedestals. The pavilion can also showcase one concept / newest car to show to the visitors.

Different from the Container-001, this project is a step-up in terms of rendering. On the course i made this project from, I learned alot about materials, and taking a step further towards post-processing of a render.

Typology – Contradictory to the portfolio’s entry, this project follows the rules of certain type of a building. In this case, a transportation hub. The hub acts as a node and connector towards outside transportation in which initially, the neighborhood lacks.

Keyword – Framing Vista – The shell design does not neglect any design thinking nor it overlooks many aspects just to look cool. In a way, the shell provides openings to ease the inhabitant’s view towards certain area. In the context of this neighbourhood, this makes sense as a guide to constant awareness towards the transportation bay.

Favourite Champion at Archivolks 2022 Competition
Term : 2022 | 4th semester
Type : Architecture Competition
Role : Visualization and Design
Status : Completed
Contributors : Ganes Dzikri Pepundi S. & Tsaniya Hasya
My First Competition – On this project, We created a space that integrates micro businesses in Bantul, DIY. that mimicks the concept of farm-to-table in one architectural dwelling. Since this is the first competition I have ever entered, I learned quite alot in terms of the workflow of designing efficiently with a quite short deadline on mind. Fortunately, the output comes with a favourite champions certificate, signed by IAI (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia) themselves.

Freelance – 2021, the first time I work for a client. Meaning the first time I learn to find the balance of my Ideas, the client’s needs, and the client’s expectations to work. Since it was my first time, a lot of feedbacks were thrown. In spite of the feedbacks, the client was quite happy with the result on the final revision. Scheduling, formality, and professionalism are learned on this journey.
The Brand – It was 2021 when me and 3 of my friends joined a business competition issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. 3 out of 20 company proposals were accepted from Universitas Indonesia, 17 out of more than 300 proposals were accepted from all over Indonesia. The award is for the provision of the company HANSI.ID. It’s been 2 years since its proud opening, and being a small and growing store, I’ve been a creative director doing the photography, visual editing, and a website designer for the brand.
Design in an Organization – Being a designer in an organization is just simply communicating what the organization wanted to convey to the audience and through me (as a designer), that have a piece of mind myself, created this constant communication between the team of idea creators and us the designers. Workflow-learning are off the charts with this one as there are constant needs to be met although I am greatful to work with such wonderful people at TEDx.
Hobby – I am glad to have a hobby that relates to what I do (design and architecture) and it helps so much with the visual skills. Although, a lot has been questioning me doesn’t it make you more prone to design blocks? and to that, no. Photography has been a theraphy for me to capture “stills” of the moment. With not wanting to get nerdy of it, I might simply say, they are different when it comes to the hobby side of it. More intimate rather than a job.
