Genius Hacks to Fix Makeup Issues If you’re a makeup hoarder and like to do makeup a lot, you would know some hacks to fix makeup issues. If you’ve got issues with the finish, applied thick eyeliner, used too much of foundation or highlighter, these hacks will make sure that these mistakes will not happen to you:

1. Applied too much of foundation If you've applied a little too much foundation and facing problem in blending it properly, put down the brush or blender you’re using. Take a clean sponge, damp it with water, and bounce it up and down on your face. The sponge will absorb extra foundation and allows the product to blend in. Make sure that you apply foundation in small layers in the area that require some extra product. Smaller layers dry quickly and allow the foundation to absorb into the skin easily, rather than sitting on top.

2. Eye-shadow fallout The best way to prevent eyeshadow fallout is to do your eye makeup before the rest of your face. And if you’re using dark and pigmented eye shadows, bake your under-eye area. The extra powder creates a barrier between the skin, so if fallout does happen, it will cling to the powder

instead of your foundation and concealer. When you’re done with your eyeshadow, brush away the bake and the fallout will brush away with the baked powder.

3. Eyeliner Isn't Straight, Even, or at the Right Angle If you were trying to apply a thin liner and ended up with a bolder look than expected, you can use concealer to cover up excess liner. Use a wand or a concealer brush to apply concealer. Blend it with your figure or concealer brush, set it with powder, and you’re good to go.

4. Mascara on eyelids When you apply mascara on your lashes, there is always a chance that it can get over your upper and lower lids as well. To avoid such problem, hold the wand horizontally and wiggle your brush back and forth from root to tip for upper eyelash. For lower eyelash, hold the wand vertically and slowly paint the lashes with the tip of the brush. Don’t forget to change your mascara every 3 months as every time you pump your mascara wand, it pushes air back into the formula and dries it out.

5. Highlighter goes wrong Strobing is common with highlighter. Make sure to choose the right color and blend it properly. You can use champagne tones for fair skin, pink-champagne tone for fair skin, golden tone for olive skin, and terra-cotta tones for dark skin. Apply it lightly on your cheekbones, in the center of your forehead, down the bridge of your nose, and a little on your chin for a subtle sheen that won't leave you looking like you're glowing, not sweating.
