Remember that you are not alone

Sometimes the news around the Covid-19 pandemic can lead to feelings of despair and hopelessness that can bring one to a point of utter Coronavirus fatigue. It seems at times as if one piece of bad news is just waiting to be replaced by something equally horrifying the very next minute.

Looking at the statistics and reading the predictions of what is about to happen make these feelings of despondency legitimate, and we as a community need to acknowledge that. Although we are not all in the same boat, we are all facing the same storm, but we need to know that we are not alone.

It is in the knowledge that we are not alone that we now need to draw the strength and courage to face the battles that are coming our way.

As Winston Churchill said: “One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!”
