The Undergraduate Project The Architecture Design Studio 3 - it talks about architecture and human sense. In this semester, we were taught about how human sense reacts to architecture and how we implement the design thingking to improve our design strategy.
Urban activities in Surabaya is slowly changing the roads into a busy situation. This is characterized by the growing number of vehicles within the city. Various vehicles are producing a sound with a high enough noise level. It makes a certain condition where each person are getting tired by walking around the street with a The Music Conservatory talks about how we as poor sound quality. humans react to the voices around us. Music Conservatory is my very first interpretation about This give me an idea to create a design that will reduce sense and architecture especially about sense of poor sound quality in order to stimulating the sense of the listeners, as Peter Zumthor said architecture is the listeners within us by providing a good sound qualnot about a paper, it’s not about the forms, but it’s ity into the design. about space and material. MUSIC CONSERVATORY I adapted the shape of a circle due the consideration of the natural form of the site. A contour layer that resembles the shape of the circle has forced me to understand the natural form of the site. This project is well known as my very first design that uses a circular shape, as well as my first work on contoured sites

AUDIO VISUAL INTERIOR As we can see inside of this building, what i did is i want to stimulate the senses through sound and graphics. The graphics itself is closely related to psychedelic art. As people says that psychedelic art can affect psychiatric conditions become more calm, this is due to the movement of the graphics and color. According to my opinion by visualizing the psychedelic art through this interior, this will produce a sense of happiness by stimulating the senses of sight, and the sense of the listener. This is one visual example of psychedelic art. The colors displayed are colors with brightness levels that can make the vision more relaxed, through the appropriate of saturation level, and brightness level.

The Undergraduate Project The Architecture Design Studio 4 - In this semester we were discussing a very interesting topic like a connection between architecture and a collective memory from a person. As for me this topic has made me think how architecture reacted into this kind of situation, how i will manage myself to force my design thinking and converts it to a design process.
The people of Bali are usually taken their culture by serving a God. This culture has become a hereditary culture. As my researched about urban activities in South Bali, this culture may become a second priority because of the development of entertainment activities in South Bali.
As we know Balinese people are quite thick with their culture, however the culture around them slowly being Pyramidal South Bali Creative Artspace is my per- contaminated with a new culture from a several counsonal thougt about how architecture flows with a tries, as a results they were avoiding their culture, by collective memory. lately i’ve been doing my own keep producing any hotel and night club around. researched about collective memory around people in South Bali. PERSPECTIVE NORMAL VIEW this whole area were covered in nature material such as wood, stone, and bricks. this well designed with a lot of open spaces, it’s easier to make a connection between peoples. There’s a rooftop on the second level. This Rooftop functioned as a meeting place of visitors and as a place to see the sights that directly lead to the Dewa Ruci Statue. 18
PERSPECTIVE NORMAL VIEW In addition to being a meeting point for visitors, this rooftop also serves as a playground for kids, musing, and even hanging out.

The Undergraduate Project The Architecture Design Studio 5 - or the last studio, we began discussing about the new topic for the project. In this studio we discuss something different with the previous studio. On the Final studio we talks about experimentation in architecture.
Exit Rampway started when i accidentally watched a movie called “wall e”. I started doing research on the extinction that will happen in the next 30 years. The topic itself is discussing about what will happen in Surabaya city on 2030. This idea stems from my thinking about rapid technological developments.
What i thought about this topic is about how well we process the data from the researched, and how we visualize a surrealism things towards architecture.
From the data I got on the development of technology, most of the human population began to depend on gadgets. if I think about it this could be the same as what happens on “wall e”. Human start losing interest in anything. In my opinion and prediction humans will begin to gain weight because it is too dependent on technology.
What am i trying to approach is, i wanted to describing a design by diagrammatic visualization. in my opinion an experiment on architecture unlike architecture in general, like architecture should be based on size or it should be precise with the paper size. By diagrammatic visualization i tried to showing the concept for this conceptual project.
I tried to design a rampcase to be a diet program. The concept is about people should be keep running to stay healthy inside the rampcase. It will be 5 stages to achieve, there will be place for rest, sleep, etc on each stages.

PROGRAMMING & MASSING In this Programming i tried to make a tower that can be tower that can supply any of food, water, and as a place for sleep as well. This second building has the same height as the main building. Each floor on the second tower can be filled with a capaity of 30 people, and for the total capacity can reach over 150. The first step for the design process, i tried to dividing the mass into three kind of masses. From this axonometric i tried to show the mass composition. On the second step, there’s a gradient colour, i tried to visualize each of stages by using the gradient colour. as we can see on the final or third step each of stages are meant to be usefull as a place to do sports, rest, eat, and sleep.

STRUCTURE The main structure for this conceptual project, what I am trying to do is mix between post and beam structures with cross structure using steel cylinders. Structure is made visible to give a strong impression to the surrounding. Technically this structure is also exposed to be a facade on this tower, by showing repetitive repetitions that can be seen on the rampcase. The repetition I want to show is to add aesthetic element to this work
29
SECTION In this section, we can see carefully how a path from the piping system and the clean water system works in a tower. Each floor is a step to reduce the weight of the building user. We can see in the illustration besides, each floor has its own duty to help ease the weight of the human body. By exercising and running from the lowest level to the next level

Final Project The final project is my last work on an undergraduate degree. At this stage we are given a longer period of time compared with previous studios. This final project has made me understand the world of architecture more deeply. In this final project I will discuss more about the relation of tourism and architecture, where this idea I initiated by seeing real incident about the less developed tourism world with what has been owned by a certain area.
I have an idea of the buildup of layers. Layer that I mean is a thought or a small concept of what I will discuss. Layers that I have obtained from various criteria such as village areas, village characteristics, village landmarks, etc.
Sangeh village is an area in badung abian semal districts that earned the nickname as a tourist village. But as an average tourist village or tourists both local and foreign tourists every year is at the lowest point of any tourGood tourism will be followed by good architectur- ist objects in badung district. Sangeh village itself lacks al developments as well, from those words I have a something more attractive to attract tourists, tourists sense of curiosity about a tourist behavior towards who come to the village sangeh only know the village the new areas they will visit. The tourism that I will sangeh as monkey forest / monkey forest, while there enlarge is tourism that leads to the development of are many other things that can be explored in the village architecture in a rural context. We all know there sangeh. Therefore an object is needed as a center that is a tourist village, and in the context of tourism, a can introduce the village sangeh more clearly and more tourism village has something that they can sell to informative. tourists, such as cultural characteristics, crafts, and Design limits with considerable options and large enough language. land area make the layering method as a tool for designMy interest in tourism raises an idea to explore the ing. Layers in the pile between each other with considdeeper potential of a tourist village. In this case erations that fit the context of the village sangeh not to many layers come into my head and have forced cross the limit of the design of the locality of Balinese me to think of a criterion and typology of a design architecture. suitable for a tourist village by not eliminating the characteristics of the tourist village
FINAL PROJECT

ISSUE & CONTEXT Tourism in Bali is dominated by Badung District whose area includes (kuta, abiansemal, mengwi, and petang). The condition of economic growth in Badung itself is still dependent on the subdistricts of Kuta, South Kuta, and North Kuta. This can be said crippled to other district namely Petang, Abiansemal and Mengwi. Although these three areas are still located in Badung district. The picture on the right is an illustration of badung district. As we can see the red one is The district of South Bali, this area is the bussiest area on Bali, This is because, all kinds of products about tourism are growing rapidly in this area. This causes there are some tourist areas that are less touchable as in abiansemal district famous for its sangeh and monkey forest. Though sangeh village has other tourism potentials other than monkey forest and still not exposed. Therefore it is necessary to develop the less-touch areas by increasing the values of culture, art, craft that already exist in the area. According to Richards Cultural tourism is arguably a ‘good’ form of tourism, widely viewed as a sustainable and supportive local culture (Richards 2001 tourism, creativity, and development).
34
SITE SELECTION Site selection is based on a context I discuss. In this case sangeh village was chosen as a site because the village area sangeh which according to income level data as a tourist village tends to be lower than the tourist areas in other badung regency. This is due to the fact that the sangeh villages have been defeated by villages whose names have soared in recent years, such as Tanah lot in Tabanan and Ubud districts in gianyar regency. The position of the sangeh village in the center of the district makes it a place that just passes by
35
DESIGN METHOD The design method that was done in order to find and find the shape and pattern on the site used layering method by KENGO KUMA in his book titled Japanese Layering Pattern he mentioned that design by combining several layers both in physical and non physical form will create a reciprocal relationship to the form seuah design and eliciting unique forms of evolved and reinforced geometries with lay layers in one section. Kengo Kuma also mentions that designing by using stacking on certain layers will answer the context of the site and that is still related to the links that exist in the context.

PROGRAM Programs are determined by viewing and listening to the existing objections in Sangeh village, such as handicrafts, painting crafts, and dance artistry typical of sangeh village can be shown with programs contained in this cultural center. Sangeh village cultural center is a village information center sangeh to introduce the village of Sangeh deeper to the visitors.

SANGEH VILLAGE, BALI
Village Development This Project began when i was working as intern student at popodanes architect. At the beginning Mr. popo said that he wanted to developing something new to Sangeh village, as he said the tourism in Sangeh village didn’t working well because the only thing that people used to know about Sangeh was Monkey Forest. This project was also known as my start to do more reasearch on Sangeh Village, and gave me the idea to do the Final Project for my undergraduate theses. We start this project by doing reasearch on the Sangeh Villagers, about their culture, about their balinese custom house. With the data we get by inteviewing the villagers of Sangeh VIllage we will know the potentials owned by the Sangeh Village.
For the first step we try to combine the natural scenery of the village of Sangeh to function as a bycycle track for the people. Through the data that we got from the results of reasearchs on traditional houses,we knew there are many homes with empty rooms in small amounts, we will use this as a guest house for tourists.

DEVELOPMENT In this project we want to focus more on the approach to the local community. Because we will list some houses that we can use as homestays for tourists. More than about 10 homes can be used as homestay for the tourists. The pictures are samples of houses to be used as homestays. for other programs we try to arrange a bike track around the village sangeh, bike tracks here intended to serve as an access for tourists to get around to see the various kinds of uniqueness and civilization that exist in the Sangeh Village.

Indonesian Young Architect On the second occasion, IYA (Indonesian Young Architects) Exhibition 2017: 1 Are House “A Living Space for Bali’s Millennials” with the theme of 1 acre house. 1 acre or 100 m2 are common units that apply in Bali as metric scale for the purposes of size and or sale and purchase of land. According to our 1 are very identical with this island and can be used as a reference for future homes in Bali. By 2030, research predicts 65% of the world’s population will live in urban areas. No exception with Bali, who will also experience it. Increased population, there are limitations of land, create a fierce competition that resulted in high land prices in Bali. INDONESIAN YOUNG ARCHITECT
Seeing the consequences of the increasingly competitive land requirements, the impact will be felt primarily by millennials. Millenial generation, also known as Y generation, is a cohort (demographic group) born in the 1980s to 2000. In other words, this millennial generation is young people aged between 15-35 years old. This millennial generation is currently dominating the labor force. With the income earned every month, it is not wrong if the millennial generation has a dream to have a private dwelling. But the reality is actually inversely proportional. According to the results of the research, millennial generation threatened can not have a home in the next five years. the article, an increase in millennial generation revenue which on average only 10% can not keep up with the rise in house prices by at least 20%. In this exhibition we hope to present the works of 1st house aristektur who can educate the public and provide new insights for young Indonesian .

PADMADEWATA This 200-square-meter house is inhabited by a couple of not-so-large spouses but is ideal for homes only inhabited by two people, a house with a modern concept that I exhibit by providing materials such as wood, concrete, and iron . I would like to point out that with this kind of material the Balinese style house will not disappear if we keep showing the style of the Balinese building, this I show by adding the roof with the reed.
