ABOUT BELLA GRACE She is an advocate against domestic violence, sexual assault and rape, social media consultant, motivational speaker, author, empowerment life coach, blogger, editor/publisher, tutor, curriculum builder, educator, wife, mother, and the list goes on. However, that is not all. Bella Grace has arisen to become a person strategically working to make a change in her community and herself rather than complain. Born and raised in Newark, NJ also known as the “Brick City,” Bella Grace has faithfully lived up to her city’s name with her strong resilient spirit as she diligently works to build her empire. Raised in a single parent home after losing her father to murder at the age of 2, Bella Grace learned a valuable lesson as she watched her mother raise both her and her older brother…YOU CAN DO IT! At the age of 5, she knew she wanted to be a teacher and she stuck to that. As with any child, she faced life decisions that she believes has helped and is helping to cultivate her into the woman she has become and is becoming. Bella Grace graduated as Salutatorian of her 8th grade class literally missing it by a point to become Valedictorian of her elementary school. Upon graduation, she went on to study Drama at Newark, NJ’s Arts High School and graduated in the top 15 of her class. Bella Grace later went on to study at Pace University with a major in Education, and minor in Child Psychology. However, in 1998 she met a guy and entered a relationship that would later become abusive. It was her resilient spirit that allowed Bella Grace to arise from the dead when she was listed as “DEAD ON ARRIVAL” in 2002 after being stabbed by her then exboyfriend [same guy she met in 1998] THIRTEEN TIMES in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ. Bella Grace suffered a collapsed lung, had to learn to walk again, and sustained severe nerve damage. However, SHE DIDN’T LET THAT STOP HER. Clearly this woman was meant to have a second chance at living and she is doing just that. In 2006, while working as a teacher’s assistant, Bella Grace had a vision to create and establish a domestic violence safe house that will help other women be able to walk away from their abusive situations without feeling as if they are being judged and/or condemned as well as a program that would assist fellow sisters so that they would not feel alone nor be alone as they raise their children. She began WOW (Walking On Water Ministries International) as it is more commonly referred to in
13
order to be able to do what brings her heart, mind, and spirit more peace…to be able to GIVE. In 2008, she walked away from the Board of Education and her front desk job at a hotel to not only chase her dreams but make them her reality. She created and established her own day care and school with the vision to create and establish an educational campus of learning in her future. She began a monthly workshop meeting in her home which was established to teach and learn ways to stay encouraged and motivated as a woman with accountability and truth. After sleeping on a friend’s couch for 3 months, Bella walked into her first home to only discover after a few months the house she was renting to own was going into foreclosure. After investing all she had month after month, Bella could have walked away feeling defeated. However, she packed up all she had with her two children and stayed at an extended stay hotel for six weeks. It was in those six weeks that Bella became more empowered than ever. She received a phone call that told her she should reconsider her choice to build her vision because with the results it seemed as if she was UNSTABLE. However, there was something about that word that ignited Bella Grace to “pick up her mat and walk through the fire.” Shortly after she received an email from one of her closest friends that said
“KEEP WRITING…WHATEVER YOU DO KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING…THEY NEED YOU.” It was that email in 2009 and Bella’s resilient attitude that allowed her to die in the moment of all she was lacking and rise above its ashes to discover all she was worth and all she possessed. With a one way ticket for her and her children, Bella Grace left North Carolina and returned to NJ to teach the world “it’s not about them.” She partnered with the Girl Scouts of New Jersey, as well as several churches and organizations in the neighboring communities by organizing and facilitating workshops that would empower young girls to know that their worth is PRICELESS. She partnered with the American Heart Association of New York and Ladies on The Rise of New York as a guest speaker at one of their charity events. After losing everything she had in storage in 2009 because she didn’t have $200.00 to pay for another month, Bella Grace decided that rather than cry she would smile 14
and keep going. She began working on her first book project knowing that this was what her friend, and now business partner was referring to in that e-mail. But Bella Grace didn’t stop there. She began to host a live call-in program called Lifeline. This allowed people to call in from all over the world [literally] to pray and be encouraged while going through their situations because her belief is that in order to conquer your situations you must go through them. In 2011, she published her first book The Love Policy, a 9-part children’s book series entitled The Adventures of Susie and JJ, which teaches the basics of life in a simple yet loving way. Shortly thereafter she would release part 2 Joy On The Inside, and later Very Inspirational, Joy Comes In The Mourning: Lessons After The Storm, and Hello My Name Is Grace [another children's book]. In 2012, she created and established Dynamic New You and began to empower women to be who they were created to be without fear of being rejected or not good enough. But that’s not all. Bella Grace is a member of The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Toastmasters International, American Heart Association, HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association), and Legal Shield. Through her experiences she has learned that she was created with a purpose for a purpose, and she is determined to encourage others to have such a mentality. She has been interviewed by Cathy Hughes of TV One at the 2009 Women’s Empowerment in Raleigh, NC, interviewed by Lyn Twyman of Courage Network, and featured in a six-page layout in the October 2011 issue of AfroElle Magazine. When asked recently, to sum up what is it that she does, Bella had this to say: “I teach people to know who you are, by learning who you are, so you can accept who you are in order to be who you are.” Get to know more about Bella Grace, CEO and Founder of Dynamic New You Coaching and Consulting Services, Walking On Water Ministries International (WOW), Building Stronger Families Network, and Bella Grace Academy.

About Dynamic New You
…truth is it is about YOU.
Why do I believe it is about YOU? Because without YOU, how can the change YOU desire to see in you take place? Exactly, it can’t. Everyone has a gift waiting to be unwrapped and released from inside of them. It takes each of those gifts to make this world a better place for me and you TOGETHER. Another reason why I BElieve It is about YOU is because it takes YOU and I want YOU to always remember that! DYNAMIC NEW YOU is more than me being “just a life coach” to you. DYNAMIC NEW YOU is me being encouraged by you to know that you no longer want to live a predictable life. Waking up every day at the same time, doing the same thing, going to the same places, and to sleep in the same manner…UNFULFILLED. It’s about accountability, not your money. It’s about love, not like. It’s about making a choice for the best, not settling for the worst. DYNAMIC NEW YOU is for the woman who is tired of being tired and tired of saying she is tired of being tired. It’s for the woman who knows she is ready to BEcome the change she desires to BE because she BElieves who she desires to be resides on the inside of her. She knows that no matter what circumstances rise up against her, she is still blessed with a purpose and she is ready to show the world starting with herself first. DYNAMIC NEW YOU can and will be you when you are READY.
Ready for what?
Ready to walk away from ALL of your fears. Ready to walk away from ALL of your doubts. Ready to walk away from ALL of your worries. Ready to walk away from living everyone else’s plans for you so you can begin to live the life God planned for you. 16
I’m talking about FREEDOM…COMMITMENT…POWER. I’m talking about a DYNAMIC NEW YOU.
When I began DYNAMIC NEW YOU I was interning with a councilman, working on a new children’s book, raising my children and helping my mother out who had been unemployed for four years. I was continuing to build my business and my ministry with my eyes on the prize. However, behind closed doors I was also dealing with a rebellious teenage son that had become exposed to the streets and was determined to do right for him even if it meant coming against his own family. This behavior eventually led to me having to encounter a life test that I just knew I could avoid in order to protect my truth. The lesson I learned in the end is that my truth actually protects me. What’s that you may be wondering? I was falsely arrested and had to spend 20 hours in jail for a crime I didn’t commit.
Why am I so free to share this with you? Because it’s all a part of my DIVORCE YOUR EGO and marry your truth seminar.
Now, I am not saying I married a truth of being in jail. However, what I am saying is I married my truth that even I could have an opportunity to spend time in jail. However, whatever decision I would make at that time could either free me or keep me imprisoned. And not just imprisoned in jail but imprisoned spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Being that I knew my truth, I was determined to stand on my truth and represent my truth as an ambassador of the truth. One of the things I noticed during this lesson is that there was nothing no one could say or do on that day to clear my name and help me avoid standing in this compact cell for something I didn’t do. But it was while I was in jail that I was reminded that life is what YOU make it. I was called to empower my fellow sisters…women just like me. All ages, all ethnic backgrounds, all religions, all socioeconomic statuses. I began talking to these women as if I had been assigned to come in and empower 17
them. And although I couldn’t see most of their faces I felt closer to them and walked away more encouraged, more inspired, and more motivated to live out my purpose every moment I was able to see and hear what not only my sisters needed during that time, but that the world needs now. Are you tired of leaving your dreams with the Sandman? Do you have this fiery sensation in the pit of your stomach that rises every time you interact with something to spice it up? Do you find yourself daydreaming about “what-if” and/or how it could be if you “shoulda…woulda…coulda”? Or maybe you’re tired of believing that you are too old or maybe even too young and are ready to show the world YES YOU CAN! Whatever is your desire, I am here to tell you that you can have whatever it is you desire as long as you are willing to build…create…and establish a strong, faithful, committed relationship with your future. It will require you to let go of your past and your present as you set your eyes and ears on your BEST that is yet to come. I call this DIVORCE YOUR EGO AND MARRY YOUR TRUTH. However, before you can commit to anything you have to be willing to surrender. So I ask you, are you ready?
Live Inspired!

It’s Not [only] What You Know… But Who You Know
24
A vision. We all have one. Some of us may or may not be aware of what our vision is, but we all have a vision. What is a vision? The word vision is a noun. It means the act or power of sensing with the eyes; sight. The act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be. An experience in which a personage, thing, or event appears vividly or credibly to the mind, although not actually present, often under the influence of a divine or other agency. Your vision is vitally important when it comes to living the life that you were created to live. At first, it may scare you because your vision normally appears as Goliath, while you feel as if you are David. You will oftentimes overthink the vision you see and cause yourself to believe that there is no way possible that you can do what it is you just saw. However, what you must choose to accept is that you have the power and authority to do all things when you let go of what you think you know and grab hold of what you know you know. If you remember in the story of David and Goliath, you will remember that although David was quite small in size compared to Goliath, He was still able to not just defeat Goliath, but he was able to conquer him as well. The first thing I would not only suggest you do, but advise you to do is to divorce your ego. Before you move a step closer to activating your vision, you must eliminate any and all thoughts that tell you what you cannot do. I explain more of that in my book, Divorce Your Ego and Marry Your Truth. The truth is if you think that you are “too this” and “too that” or “can’t do this” and “can’t do that” you will find yourself being by yourself and unable to stand in the same space with your vision in order for you to bring it into fulfillment. Your Ego. You know. That inner spirit that is actually birthed out of pride. It makes you turn your nose up at any “bad thing” that comes your way. It makes you feel as if it is all about you and that everyone around you NEEDS to understand 25
that as well as obey everything you say. Oftentimes, people like that are referred to as being cocky, stuck up, conceited, vain – you get the point. The moment you dismiss the notion that you are exempt from “trials and tribulations” and accept them as life lessons you need to pass the test of life, you will be well on your way to not only creating A Dynamic New You, but activating your dynamic new vision. Truth is the reason it is about you or “all about you” is because it takes you to do what you need to do. I cannot be the one to change you or activate your vision. You are the only one who can do that, I can’t tell you what your purpose is. Only you know what your purpose is. You just may need someone to assist you in not just tapping into it, but breaking into it by breaking the cycle. I discuss how to break that cycle in my book, Break the Cycle: 12 Steps to Becoming a Dynamic New You. So now, what does it mean to Get It Done…Now? What it means is stop sitting around waiting for the right moment, because the right moment is now. There is a saying that goes, “there is no time like the present” and it is absolutely true. The more you continue to put off becoming who you were created to be, the more miserable and unfulfilled you will continue to feel. The time is now. It is time to Get It Done…NOW! One of the first things you will need to do and I actually consider it a requirement, is to review who is in your circle of friends or people you know. I have learned to accept that the following two statements are very true: 1. 2.
Birds of a feather flock together Everyone is not for you.
Depending on where you are physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually the people you started out with will not be the same people you will finish with. I 26
have talked with many clients and discovered that we all at some point have shared one same truth – FEAR. Most people are afraid to let go of what they are used to. They become so comfortable with what they know and would rather stay in that element than to let go so they may grow. Oftentimes, they become more concerned [subliminally] with what people will say that they willingly, yet unknowingly, stay in the place that is time for them to leave. I call it the “comforter syndrome.” Have you ever gotten into your bed and wrap yourself up in your favorite comforter? It feels so good that you never want to leave that place. Then you realize you have to go to the bathroom and you are left to make a major decision – ignore it or address it.
This is the same approach so many of us make in our lives when it comes to people, places, and things. In fact, I am willing to boldly say all of us at some point in our lives have battled with the “comforter syndrome” when it comes to the relationships we have with people including ourselves. In order for you to grow, you have to accept and embrace change. You can’t see change as a negative thing. You must view it as a positive thing versus a negative thing. You cannot subject yourself to living in fear of change. Despite how it feels – change is good. Without change it would be as if you are six-feet tall wearing a size 2T onesie. No matter what your circumstances say or even you, please understand that change is necessary in your day to day living. CHANGE IS GOOD. Now back to those friends of yours. Go through the list of people you know and see who is actually adding to your growth and who is subtracting from your growth. If your vision is to own your company, ask yourself is there anyone on your list with the same vision as well as is there anyone on your list that actually owns their own company. If you are ready for marriage, are any of your friends married, or is everyone still “single and ready to mingle?” If someone on your list 27
is only depositing negativity, you must realize that at some point you will bear the interest that comes with that. I know, I know, you are saying to yourself, “but, we’ve been friends for so long.” My answer to you is that is even more reason for you to let it go. Before you can be a friend to anyone you need to learn how to be a friend to yourself. What you allow is on you, not them. Surprisingly, I have discovered that many of those “negative friends” are waiting for someone to lead the group out of darkness. The time you take to fit in with the crowd, you could invest in standing out from the crowd. Turn all of your negative balances into profit by eliminating what is not beneficial and I promise you that it will put you on the map when it comes time for you to reap your harvest. Growing requires you to need more space. Are you ready to enlarge your territory in every way possible? If your answer is YES, I strongly suggest to you to go through who’s on your contact list and delete…delete…delete, so you can believe…achieve…and increase.
28
See a Need…Fill a Need
29
Your purpose. Your purpose is stemmed from a need. Everyone has a need that they desire to be met. Your needs are not just meant for you to fulfill it all alone, although for many of us this has been the case. The purpose of us as people is to “see a need and fill a need,” like my friend Robbie from the 2005 movie “Robots” proclaimed. Why do you truly believe fast food places and cell phones and all of the other gizmos and gadgets we use today exist? They exist because people saw a need and they filled it. They had, yep, you said it – A VISION. So what is your vision? What is it that you see and are just like I must do something about that? Is it opening your own child care center? Is it writing a book? Is it creating your own fashion line? Whatever it is, your vision is your vision. It is a gift from God that will not just bless you, but will bless others. When we take that vision and write it down whether on a piece of paper, in a fancy notebook, an electronic device, or a neon colored poster board, we open the door to our future. But not just our future. The future. Whatever your vision is, I encourage you right now to GET IT DONE…NOW!
30
Stuck In NEUTRAL with Somewhere to Go
31
A vision board. A vision board serves as a blueprint, not just a road map. I mean who really understands let alone actually enjoys using a map? Even GPS devices seem to always be “recalculating.” I rather the term blueprint and here’s why. The word blueprint means a detailed outline or plan of action. Wow, a detailed outline and a plan of action? Those are the two things you need to make your vision come alive in the natural the same way you see it in the supernatural. That is the purpose of a vision board. It’s about writing your vision and making it plain. Then following it step by step and changing (there goes that word again) what needs to be changed if and when something needs to be changed GROW. Your vision board will serve as a physical reminder/tool that you can use to encourage you to continue on your journey and live your vision publicly. Along the journey, however, you may become stuck. However, there is no need to panic. Just enough reason for you to assess the situation. I remember one time I was driving in my car going down the road and came to a stop light. The light turned green and it was time for me to go, however, I was unable to. I stared at the green light and kept entertaining the thought and desires in my head to GO. Yet, I couldn’t quite understand why I wasn’t going anywhere. Finally, my eyes caught the issue – I was stuck in neutral. Apparently, I had accidentally tapped my gear shift and shifted it to neutral. So while my intent was to move forward I was unable to do so. I couldn’t go backwards and I couldn’t just sit there either and be serenaded with people beeping their car horns at me because they were determined to get to their destination. I had to find out what was stopping me from reaching my destination. While I was glad that I paid attention to what was going on around me, I was also glad that I was able to get out of neutral.
32
Is that you? Are you stuck in neutral? You’re ready to go, but can’t figure out why you aren’t moving? You have your vision, you know where you want to go, you know what you need to do and yet, you still are not moving. You have listened to every motivational call, purchased every motivational book, you even hired a life coach to coach you along the way. You’ve done all you have been instructed to, yet, you still aren’t moving. If that is you then this book is definitely for you. It’s the reason why I created Get It Done Now. I was in that same position once before. I started to feel as if I have the information I need and even started on my journey and yet for some reason I felt stuck. I walked away from the “9-5 world” and into the life of an entrepreneur working her dream into her reality. I was tired of “having a job” because I realized I actually had a purpose – a greater purpose. A purpose that will allow me to go to work. So, I had a conversation with my mentor, and here we are. Out of neutral and ready to move forward. All the lights are green and nothing not even myself can stop me. Same with you. Nothing can stop you! Shift the gear into drive and give it some gas. It’s time to GO!
33
Actions Speak Louder Than Words and Glue Sticks
34
One thing I must tell you though, it is going to take a whole lot more than some bright colored paper and glue sticks. You are going to need to become your vision and with the right accountability and support you will be able to do just that. So before you go grabbing old magazines and glitter, you will need to make a covenant with yourself.
Repeat after me: Because I want to ____________________ I choose to ____________________.
Yep, it’s that simple. Remind yourself daily of what you want to do and the reason why you choose to do so and do it. Truth is, it’s not about creating a vision board and then tacking it to a wall. It’s about YOU believing in YOUR VISION and working hard to see it come to pass. Are you ready to see your vision come to pass? Then let’s begin! It’s time to create an Action Vision Board. The word activate means to make active; to cause to function or act. While the word active means engaged in action; characterized by energetic work, participation, progress, or motion; to give physical effort. Now there is only change I need for you to make when it comes to that definition. Don’t act, BECOME. The motto of Dynamic New You is BEcome. BElieve. BE. What does that mean? It means that in order to Be Empowered (BE), you need to become what you believe. No matter how many “self-help” tools you invest in for your vision without self-control and you becoming what you see in your vision, it will always remain a dream and never become your reality. So how do you activate your vision? Simple - by creating an Action Vision Board. By not just drawing it, but by 35
becoming it. Your board should reflect what motivates you, inspires you, and encourages you. Take a moment and ask yourself the following questions:
What motivates you? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
What inspires you? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
Who encourages you? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
What do you want to do? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
36
What do you want to see come to life? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
Who will benefit from it? __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
When people outside of you can benefit from what you want to do, YOU will benefit from it as well:
Emotionally
Physically
Spiritually
Mentally
Monetarily
37
Let’s Get It Done
38
Listen, the talents you possess are a gift to you that you are blessed with. Blessed to be a blessing, not blessed be in a struggle. Are you tired of struggling? Tired of living check to check and seeing all of the deductions but never any increase. Then I encourage you to Get It Done Now and keep going. Stay on your path and never take your eyes off of the prize. What you have to share cannot be shared by anyone else. While many will resemble, it will never be identical. Don’t believe me? Let me provide you with the evidence to show you why. There is only one you. There will never be another you. So everything that came with you when you were created is yours to have and to hold until death do you part.
Let me just suggest this, please don’t be the one to cause the death between you and your vision. Your job is to live out your vision and bring forth life! So, we have come to the end of the road and it is time to move on in our own direction. The road is narrow but there is room for all of us because we are walking on our own path. First, let me congratulate you on being a part of becoming A Dynamic New You. Second, I want to thank you for Getting It Done Now! However, now that you got it done, I am sure you are wondering how do I maintain it? Let me close with this. You must remind yourself that this is not a “get rich quick scheme.” Like a child, your vision requires a lot of patience and that patience will give you strength. I need you to remember these words: IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED…ASK! When you ask God for more patience that patience will give you the strength and peace that you need to continue to GET IT DONE. There are so many people waiting to receive what you have to offer, however, if you don’t build it, they can’t come. You must invest into your vision daily. Don’t limit yourself to the “right 39
moment” because the right moment is RIGHT NOW. You must seize the day! Every step you take should give off the energy of your vision. It should shine so bright that everyone that has eyes to see will be able to see. It should be so loud that everyone that has ears to hear it will be able to hear it. Before anyone will take you serious enough to invest in you, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE YOURSELF SERIOUSLY AND INVEST IN YOU FIRST. Take full responsibility and use it as if it were full coverage insurance on a brand new luxury car. By you making such an investment in your vision, this will enable you to hold yourself accountable to YOU, because accountability starts with you. From this moment forward don’t be afraid to hold yourself accountable. And while you’re at it, get yourself a partner. Having an accountability partner is a great investment to make when it comes to turning your dreams into a reality. Look at it this way, you used to love to hold your friends accountable for gossip, oh excuse me the latest news on who’s doing who, so don’t shrink back now. This is far more beneficial than gossiping any day of the week. Check off your goals as you go along both physically and mentally. This will allow you to not just see the progression, but feel the progression. It will indicate if you are doing the speed limit and let you know when to slow down, and when to speed up. Whether if it’s for 1-minute or for 1 hour, you must invest time into your dreams if your goal is to live your dreams as your reality. There is a simple equation I would like for you to remember: PATIENCE + (PATIENCE x PATIENCE) = (STRENGTH x STRENGTH) + STRENGTH
No matter which way you solve it, it will always equal the one same thing:
YOUR VISION!
40

I must thank God for giving me the ability to do what I do every day. One thing I have grown to believe is that whatever you decide to do in life, make sure it’s what you love. I thank my family and my friends that have supported me thus far on my journey. To my clients and every person that has attended every class, workshop, meeting, etc., I thank you as well. Without you this circle would be incomplete. The proceeds of this book will go towards creating more resources and tools that will serve the world the same way it was able to serve you. A portion of the proceeds will go towards a cause that I believe deserves it - Domestic Violence. As a survivor, I made a vow that I would do my best to bring awareness to this silent killer and that I would help victims become survivors because they are more than just a victim. Life’s struggles become so much easier when you find the right coach who can give you the tools to work through your problems, cheer you on when you are right, and keep you accountable when off-center. I love my coach Bella Grace and I am better because of her. - Janessa Mondestin, Founder of Better Fit Body
From Bella Grace, Founder and CEO of Dynamic New You Coaching and Consulting Services, comes a straight-forward, truthful, and motivating book that empowers you to live your dreams as your reality once you put action to your vision and simply Get It Done…NOW! “Are you stuck in neutral? You’re ready to go, but can’t figure out why you aren’t moving? You have your vision, you know where you want to go, you know what you need to do and yet, you are still not moving. I started to feel as if I have the information I need and even started on my journey and yet for some reason I felt stuck.” Get It Done Now teaches you how to turn your vision into action. It gives you the blueprint to establishing a plan of action. Get it Done Now is proof that your actions speak louder than your words with this simple formula: PATIENCE + (PATIENCE x PATIENCE) = (STRENGTH x STRENGTH) + STRENGTH No matter which way you solve it, it will always equal the one same thing:
