Barcode Scanning Turnstiles
The TUT-65TM and TUT-65TMB are turnstiles designed for barcode ticket scanning applications, principally at stadiums, arenas, convention centers and auditoriums. By BARCODE presenting a valid barcode ticket to the turnstile, SCANNER + GRAPHICAL USER DISPLAY a patron is able to gain access into a facility without any venue personnel interaction. The TUT-65TM is a fix mounted, hard-wired version intended for new construction capable of providing direct 1 1/4 0.D. (32mm) communication with the ticketing system. The TUT-65TMB is a portable, battery powered, totally OPTIONAL wireless RF version specifically designed for HANDLE existing facilities or locations where hard-wiring is 39 1/2” (1003mm) impractical. 34” (864mm)
Both the TUT-65TM and TUT-65TMB will easily interface with any type of barcode admissions or ticketing system. Boon Edam Tomsed’s Transpalock 900 is a three-wing fully automatic bi-directional access control security turnstile. The rotating gate is compatible with any access control system. This product offers a simple yet effective method of controlling an internal passage without creating an obtrusive barrier. The Transpalock 900 is combined with either a tubular stainless steel frame or a curved toughened glass panel to provide a secure enclosure. The frameless toughened glass door wings are mounted on a central column, which houses the drive, control and locking mechanisms.

Although custom tripod turnstile designs are suitable for most applications, some very high visibility locations require the discreet security provided by optical turnstiles. Barrier-free optical turnstiles are not intended for all types of security applications, but if an unobtrusive system is required for a supervised area, optical turnstiles can easily integrate into any surroundings. A large variety of operating functions are available to meet virtually any access control situation. Fully integrated sensors, displays, status consoles and programmable logic controllers supervise traffic flow. Four standard models are offered suitable for most installations. Custom cabinet designs to meet specific aesthetic requirements are available.

Enhanced Security 7' High Full Security Turnstiles Metal Detection Turnstile The THT-100MD is one of the enhanced full height turnstiles offered by Boon Edam Tomsed to meet specific security applications where the safety and security of metal detection is required. The fully integrated system combines aesthetic appeal with real control for installations demanding accurate and efficient monitoring of persons carrying metal objects. Electrically controlled in one or both directions, the turnstile is capable of interfacing with any type of card access or biometric system. Available with all full height turnstiles. Available with all the features of other Boon Edam Tomsed turnstiles, the THT-100MD is especially well suited for airports, schools, precious metals factories, courthouses, prisons and military bases. The THT-100MD is equipped with 2 key-operated modes of operation. The first allows authorized users free passage through the turnstile unless a metal object is detected. When notified by the integrated metal detector, the turnstile locks and bars passage until the violation is resolved by security personnel. The second mode integrates an access control system into the turnstile and allows one at a time entry to authorized users through the access control system. If an alarm condition occurs, the access control reader is shunted and the turnstile remains locked, barring entry until the violation is investigated and cleared.

Mantrap Turnstile The THT-100MT is another enhanced full height turnstile specifically designed for very high security applications requiring positive identification through a biometric device. The THT-100MT uses a unique two-stage entry process with independent controls for each stage. The initial stage requires a user to present a valid form of identification to rotate the turnstile 90ยบ and gain access to the second quadrant. At this point, a separate, usually biometric, device is used to verify the individual's identity before allowing the final 90ยบ of rotation and access to the secure area. The independent electrical controls at each stage of the entry process prevent unauthorized users from presenting a non-identity dependent card to the first access control device, rotating the turnstile 90ยบ and then using the card again at the first access control device to complete the final 90ยบ rotation cycle and gain entry without using the biometric device. Electrically controlled exiting through traditional access or biometric control devices is also available. Fabricated from satin polished stainless steel, the THT-100MT is a serious security turnstile capable of restricting access only to identified, authorized users.

The THG-41 is designed for one-way, 90ยบ swing, handicap accessibility to a THG-41 secure area. The gate can be electrically operated through a 24 VDC doorstrike or magnetic lock, or it can be mechanically controlled via a key operated lock, The gate is manually closing and the standard material is 2" square tubular stainless steel, polished to a #4 satin finish. Other available finishes include anodized aluminum, powder coated steel, bronze, brass or #8 mirror finish stainless steel. Clear inside dimension is ADA compatible 34" with a 38" overall height. Other sizes are available as specified.

THG-51E Designed to provide handicap access into installations using full security turnstiles and access control, the THG-51 is electrically locked by a 24 VDC doorstrike or magnetic lock and can be self-closing via a transom mounted overhead closer. Construction is a 2" square buck with the interior door panel frame fabricated from 2" square tubing with round horizontal members. Due to the general close proximity to full height turnstiles, construction materials usually match the turnstiles. Lexan gates use a full 3/8" thick panel instead of horizontal bars. Gate height of 86" matches turnstiles and clear opening of 34" exceeds minimum ADA requirements. Gate swing is 90ยบ, with the gate panel attached to the buck via a continuous stainless steel hinge. Final width and height can be customized for individual applications.

The THG-42E is a one-way, 90ยบ swing, or a two-way, THG-42E 180ยบ swing, self-closing handicap gate designed to be used with an access control system, generally in conjunction with waist-high access control turnstiles. The gate is electrically operated by a 24 VDC doorstrike. Closing is achieved by a sub-floor mounted hydraulic shock absorber. Construction is a 2" square stainless steel framework, polished to a #4 satin finish and a 1/4" Lexan filler panel with universal handicap logo. Gate dimensions and operational specifications meet ADA requirements. Clear opening of 32" can be adjusted as necessary. Overall height of 38" matches waist-high turnstiles and can vary as needed. Available materials include anodized aluminum, powder coated steel, bronze, brass or #8 mirror finish stainless steel.

A new addition to the Boon Edam Tomsed line THG-51SG of handicap accessible devices, the THG-51SG is designed to provide sliding gate access to handicap personnel and is fully compliant with existing ADA guidelines. An overhead mounted gate operator allows touch-free use merely by presenting proper credentials to the access control system. When activated and opened, the sliding gate provides a 36" clear opening. Fabricated from anodized aluminum, the THG-51SG is a perfect ADA compliant accessory to the THT-100ASTG full height turnstile series and is available in matching finishes.
