Dummy VGA Monitor Setup Steps

After you finish the setting and you wan to unplug the VGA Monitor, 1. Turn Off the IPC 2. Unplug the VGA Monitor Cable 3. Plug the Dummy VGA Monitor into the VGA Port and power on the IPC You will see the content playing on the Display without the operating UI.

Wireless NIC (Optional)

When you don’t use wireless network, please disable the Wireless NIC.

1.3.2 Embedded IPC Please install: 1. Dummy VGA Monitor 2. Audio Cable as the diagram.

1.4 Display Operation 1.4.1 Display ON / OFF Manually BREAKER: The main power switch of the display is located in the Control Box. After installation and setup please keep the switch always on if you want the display to power on / off automatically.

AUTO TIMER: To turn on / off display system automatically.

Breaker Timer

Turn on: 1. Turn on the IPC. 2. Setting Timer ON/OFF schedule. 3. Turn on the main power switch (Breaker) .

1.4.2 Display ON / OFF Automatically You can preset on and off for the display and IPC at a certain time through the software application. When the preset time is up, the display will be powered on automatically, and the IPC will be triggered to power itself on too. If you have preset the item of startup in the software application, the content of the assigned schedule or external multimedia device will be played automatically. (Refer to the software manual for details) NOTE: The main power switch and Timer must be always on.

1.4.3 Timer Setup Panel

1. Initial Setup: (a) Power on the Breaker Switch. (b) Press the “MODE” key for over 1 second for switching to “TIME ADJ” mode. (c) Set “day of week” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key. Then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. (d) Set “hour” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. (e) Set “minute” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. 2. Program One Time Setup: (a) Press the “MODE” key to switch to PROG 1” mode. (b) Set “hour” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. (c) Set “minute” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete.

(d) Specify “ON” or “OFF” for output by using the “+” or “-“key and press the “Enter” button when the setup is complete. 3. Program One Date Setup: (a) Press the “MODE” key to switch to “PROG 1” “DAY SET” Mode. (b) Pressing the “+” key will enable the first circuit as it is programmed or press the “-“key to disable it. (c) Press the “Enter” key to make the change become valid. (d) Repeat point 2 and 3 to set weekdays and weekends. 4. Program Two Time Setup: (a) Press the “MODE” key to switch to “PROG 2” mode. (b) Set “hour” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. (c) Set “minute” by pressing the “+ “or “-“key and then press the “Enter” key when the setup is complete. (d) Specify “ON” or “OFF” for output by pressing the “+” or “-“key and then press the “Enter” button when setup is complete. 5. Program Two Date Setup: (a) Press the “MODE” key for switching to “PROG 2”, “DAY SET” Mode. (b) Pressing the “+” key will enable the first circuit as it is programmed or press the “-“key to disable it. (c) Press the “Enter” key to change the setting. (d) Repeat point 2 and 3 to set weekdays and weekends. 6. Press “MODE” key to change to “RUN” mode and switch both the manual override switch 1 and 2 to “RUN” position. 1.4.5 Put / Change Contents Insert Flash Media card* 1 ,such as MS/MS PRO, SmartMedia, CF/MicroDrive and SD/MMC, into 8-in-1 Card Reader for content playing.

Steps

1. Save contents to a Flash Media card. (Media files must put in the root directory when you use LCM playing.) 2. Insert media card into the 8-in-1 Card Reader. 3. Choose the control item “Player Control”.

4. Choose the sub-menu “File Source”.

5. Select “All Content” to play the all media.

1.4.6 Spin Speed Setting The spin speed of the display images. The more “X” is the faster it spins. Steps 1.

Choose the control item “Monitor System”.

Press Up to increase, or Down to decrease. “Fixed” means to stop spinning.

2 Function / Maintenance Introduction 2.1 AP3 Quick Operation 2.1.1 Start Program To activate AP3, click “START/Programs/ DynaScan AP3/DSPlayer to Start. Normally, the AP3 is running if PC power on when your computers are from DynaScan. Double click and AP3 will be restored.

2.1.4 Edit Layout Presetting Layout AP3 provides seven layout settings. Click the layout you want, AP3 will load the layout into the editing section and you can start to edit. The Preset layouts are undeletable.

Content Setting There is no content for newly made layout frames. If you do not assign any content to one frame, it will display a black ground when playing. Click

Start Run button to summon the Startup Run Setup window, and then assign

the content and the description of this content. The content with parameters to adjust will show the

2.1.5 Image Spin Speed Select the spin speed of the image(s) on the display screen. It is a drop-down list, and the options cannot be changed, 8 Sec, 16 Sec, -- to 120 Sec. The 8 Sec. means the drum image takes 8 seconds to rotate a round. The default setting is “Fixed”. This means that image(s) is displayed on the screen in a fixed position. You can choose any of them to fit your needs.

2.2 Ground Mounting (G.S Model) For Safety Reason, you must do the ground mounting to fix the display on the ground. Steps 1.

Lift the display a little up by counterclockwise turning the stoppers with tools.
