Process of Laying Stamp Concrete Site Preparation Define the area to be stamped, make sure to measure and plan your space according to the dimensions of the stamps you will be using. Pack down the area, spread gravel and sand throughout about 6 cm. This layer will need to be compacted as well. Area Definition Stakes will be nailed into the outside of the forming boards, so place them where they will be roughly 15 cm from the end of each board.
Concrete Pouring Once your area is ready, start pouring the concrete in the center and spread it throughout the designated form.
Tips for Areas with Existing Concrete Screeding In areas where an old concrete surface is in place and stamped concreting is desired, it is recommended to add a concrete layer with an average thickness depending on slope and surface areas In areas where the pumping of concrete is not easily accessible, and the application of 5 cm to 8 cm concrete layer is required, Floortop.600 SCR reinforced with Fiber Mesh F12 is advisable.
Concrete Floating After pouring the concrete and spreading it, it should be flattened and floated to reach the required smoothen surface.
Hardener Tossing Color-hardener Floortop.440 SC is tossed, using a wide sweeping arm movement with the intention of covering as much as possible with each throw the concrete surface that is in a plastic state. The hardener wets up and is then floated into the surface with a wood or magnesium float.
Stamping the concrete Start stamping while the concrete is too soft and complete stamping when it is stiff.Texture mats will not work without the use of a release agent Floortop.340 RLS. This specially formulated powder prevents mats from sticking to freshly placed concrete.
Curing Depending on weather conditions and concrete curing, wash off excess release agent (Floortop.340 RLS) in the next 1 to 3 days, using a scrub brush or a broom.
Joints Touch up Touch up any grout lines that were missed with the S-tool or a touch up wheel. It is necessary to do this before the concrete hardens.
Sealer When the surface is thoroughly dry, clear enhancer Floortop.240 SIL SB or Floortop.241 SIL WB should be applied using a roller. A light coat should be applied in one direction and a second coat should be applied in a perpendicular direction in order to avoid unwanted lines. Be careful to avoid a buildup of sealer in the corners.

COLOR HARDENER Floortop.440 SC Colored surface hardener in powder form It is a uniform concrete color that’s durable enough for traffic areas. In addition to adding color to concrete, it makes a great base for stamped concrete.

Light color: 3 to 5 kg/ m² Dark color: 2 to 3 kg/ m² Hardener color is tossed over the surface, and then bull floated into the concrete
RELEASER Floortop.340 RLS Release agent in powder form A dry shake material applied directly on top of the colored surface hardener Floortop.440 SC. It forms a moisture barrier between the stamping tool and wet concrete, facilitating the release of flexible tools. Release agent is applied prior to stamping

SEALERS Floortop.240 SIL SB Acrylic solvent-based sealer and dust proof Floortop.241 SIL WB Acrylic water-based sealer and dust proof They provide a durable and serviceable finish with excellent adhesion to concrete floor, stamped concrete or natural stones.It conserves the original color of the support, offers high exterior durability and UV, alkali and water resistant, which make clean up easier. Reapplication every other year is recommended for better preservation.
