Some pistols need a One-degree shim to give extra range of elevation across a wide range of firearms. Should you feel any resistance from the mechanism whilst zeroing the elevation please fit the shim between the sight and the mount with the thickest part at the rear.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY

Put new battery into the battery housing, with numbers + side facing outward, then use the rubber base seal ⑥ to cover the battery housing.

POWERING UP & BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENTS The dot sight is always power on, the brightness will increase and decrease automatically depending on the lighting conditions.

WINDAGE AND ELEVATION ADJUSTMENT Turning the elevation screw ③ clockwise will move the dot down, this will move the shot up. Turning the

elevation screw counter-clockwise will move the dot up, this will move the shot down. Turning the windage screw ④ clockwise will move the

dot left, this will move the shot right. Turning the windage screw counter-clockwise will move the dot right, this will move the shot left. The windage and elevation adjusters should never be moved all the way to either extreme in adjustment. It is possible that over-adjustment and this will damage the sight. If the adjuster resistance increases, the limits of adjustment travel are being approached. Adjust further only with caution. As the limits of the adjustment are reached, the adjustment mechanism will become more difficult to adjust. If the adjustment mechanism is adjusted past this point, it will break. Adjustment beyond the center of the adjustment range should not

be necessary. Your FAR-DOT optic has two integrated fiber dots. There is no adjustment for the fibers. The purpose of the fibers are for quick target orientation, thus eliminating the hunt for the Dot. MOUNTING WARNING: Before installing the optic on a firearm, ensure the firearm is empty. Remove the magazine, pull the slide or charging handle to the rear and ensure the chamber is clear. The FAR-DOT dot is designed to fit directly on Optics Ready handguns, such as Girsan MC9, Sig 365XL, Springfield Hellcat OSP, S&W Shield 2.0, Walther PPS M2 or any pistol/mounting plate/slide with RMS/RMSC screw pattern/footprint. Place the sight on the base area on the top of your gun/mounting plate and tighten it firmly. The rubber/anti flickering/sealing shim provided will be placed between the sight and firearm. Note: Girsan MC9 optics ready requires no adaptor plate, The FAR-DOT mounts directly to the slide.

SIGHTING IN After mounting, a sight-in of the dot at 25 yards will be helpful. Using the center of the three-shot group as a reference, make the necessary adjustments for Elevation and Windage correction. Using arrows for reference, adjust dials in the direction you wish the group to move. You can also repeat the above calibration at different distances according to your requirements. MAINTENANCE CLEANING The red dot sight will require very little routine maintenance other than periodically cleaning the exterior lenses. If desired, the exterior lens may be cleaned by wiping with a soft, dry cloth.

When cleaning the lenses, be sure to use products that are specifically designed for use on coated optical lenses. • Be sure to blow away any dust or grit on the lens prior to wiping the surface. • Using your breath, or a very small amount of water or pure alcohol, can help remove stubborn things like dried water spots. TROUBLESHOOTING If the dot does not illuminate, please check the following before returning the FAR-DOT for service: • Is the battery oriented correctly? Be sure the battery is installed with the + side facing out. • Is the battery dead? If so, replace the battery. If the dot does not hold zero, please check: Verify the sight is mounted securely to the firearm. See the separate FAQ booklet for more useful information.
