Innovative Team Design Process

INITIAL SITE VISIT

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

This is our opportunity to walk-the-lot, locate the building envelope and start visualizing the layout of your home on the property. We study the lot’s slope, natural features and evaluate the lot’s orientation in relation to the major views and sun angles. We take 360° photos of the surrounding views to use in the 3D virtual model so you can see the actual views you’ll have from inside your home. At this point, the design team will introduce you to our CSW (Client Specification Workbook) and begin Conceptual Design.

After your review and approval of the Design Development Drawings, along with the 3D images, our design team will begin to create the final set of drawings and specifications necessary to build your home. DESIGN & PROJECT TIME LINE INITIAL SITE VISIT

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN This is the first phase of the Team Design Process where you will meet with our design team, share your thoughts and ideas, and we’ll begin to formulate a plan. We’ll review your completed CSW and, along with the information gathered from our initial site visit, we’ll start to sketch. During this meeting, you’ll begin to see your home take shape. During this phase, we begin to input the conceptual design into the computer, develop floor plans, exterior elevations and transform your home into a 3D virtual model. Along with the design team, you will have the opportunity to study the overall design, make any necessary changes and start to understand your new home on a much more intimate level.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

At this stage, as we refine the design of your home, you’ll become more familiar and comfortable with your new home, yet you may see a few things you want to change. Not a problem. With our Team Design Process, we’ll continue to work closely with you and make those changes for you.

During construction, EAA represents your interest. We make periodic site visits to review the progress of the work, conduct regular site meetings with the builder and review the builders Requests for Payment. Doing so ensures your home is built in accordance with the plans and the quality you have specified.

Although we may have already helped you select a Builder from our Select Resource Network, you may want to bid your project among several exclusive builders from our SRN. In this case, we will assist you in obtaining competitive bids and selecting a builder.

Picture yourself walking through the warmth and comfort of your new home before you ever break ground. For years, EAA has been a leader in the use of the most sophisticated 3D modeling and animation software available to help clients get a true feel of their new home. Starting at Schematic Design, and throughout the entire design process, EAA is able to give you unlimited views, pictures and images of your new home, inside and out. By way of a virtual “walk-through” and exterior “fly-around”, you’ll be able to see the actual views from inside your home and move around your home in a 3D environment. You will also be able to experience the exterior materials and see the interior finishes, furniture and fixtures you’ve selected. It is highly satisfying to know when your home is complete and ready for you to live in, you’ve already been there in a world of virtual reality, personal in every way. In the end, there are no surprises.
