LRD Series | LED Specification Grade
Bringing Integrity to the Built Environment
Integrity, n.
firm adherence to a code of values; quality or state of being complete The US Department of Energy estimates that 708 million installed downlights exist in the United States. If the country were to retrofit all of these with LED it would save $2.6 billion in energy costs. Just imagine the possibilities. Enter the LumenOptix LRD series. This LED retrofit luminaire for downlights is the first of its kind because it combines specification grade optics that provide exceptional visual acuity with the ability to install in minutes from below the ceiling within any existing commercial or industrial downlight. Add to this equation, up to 90% in energy savings and the fact that you’ll never have to replace a lamp again. The LRD, it’s Simply Revolutionary™

Quality and performance
Great design is a visual expression of exceptional form, function, and ingenuity.
The LRD offers different flange and reflector colors to allow the aesthetics of the lighting system to be completely customizable to your needs. The LRD can blend effortlessly into the ceiling or make a unique statement. The decision is yours.
The LRD was designed to be the perfect downlight system because it combines exceptional visual acuity with a luminaire that blends effortlessly into the existing architecture. Whether you are evaluating the beam distribution, glare control, or efficacy, you will find that no other downlight system can compare to this revolutionary product.
Control the Finish
The LRD offers three reflector finishes. Diffused for soft overall lighting, specular for brighter more precise lighting and semi-specular when you want something inbetween.

1. Proper Beam Distribution
The LRD comes in three beam distributions (Narrow, Medium, and Wide) allowing for proper design no matter the existing spacing or mounting height.
2. Minimizing Glare
The LRD reflector is designed in unison with the light source providing a luminaire that minimizes glare and creates a quiet ceiling. Conventional downlighting, as shown on the left, can cause glare. The LRD, as shown on the right, effectively lights the space without discomfort.
3. Vivid Color Rendering
The LRD’s CRI ranges from 82-95 which allows for high quality color appearance and vivid rendering.

Versatile and accommodating
Upgrading just doesn’t get any easier. The LRD is one of the most compelling products ever designed because of how simple it is to specify and install. It fits easily into any existing make or model commercial and industrial downlight system within a matter of minutes, without tools, from below the ceiling. As a result, the installation cost to upgrade a downlight system is very economical.

1 Remove and Discard
4
Simply remove and discard the existing reflector and lamp.
Move and Tighten
Move the wing nuts from the up position to the down and tighten them against the existing rough-in kit, creating a secure fit.
2
3 Tether and Connect
5
Tether the LRD to the existing frame to make wiring as easy as possible. Then connect the existing power to the LRD (no need to pull additional wiring).
Snap In and Complete
Snap in the LRD reflector and the installation is complete.
Slide and Position
Slide the housing into the existing rough in kit and position the LRD driver into the appropriate location.
Apples and oranges
Having it all was never so simple. Traditional downlight systems offer limited choices, such as good color quality, better performance, or more energy-savings. It was typically one or the other. Now you can have it all. The LumenOptix LRD gives you everything you can imagine by combining all of these choices into one lighting package. With up to 90% in energy savings, a 50,000 hour rated life, and great color rendering, the LRD justifies the transition to a better, more cost effective light source.
