Rocket Ship
The Rocket Ship is great for children to climb up and down. You will need 2.5” 3mm mild steel pipe, 4” bolts, medium tyres, metal and budget paint. You will also need to cement in the foundations of the rocket ship. Make sure you have at least 2 metres of space around the rocket ship.

How to build 1. Find 3 strong medium tyres with the same outside diameter. 2. Lay a tyre on the ground to mark where the rocket ship will be placed. 3. Measure the outside circumference of that tyre and divide by 3. Mark the tyre with these measurements. These markings will be the positions of the poles. Rotate tyre if required in order to finalise the position of the poles. NOTE: Take into account the ground position of the poles if you are connecting the rocket ship to other elements ie: Monkey bars, bridge etc. 4. Dig a hole under each of the markings on the tyre for the pole foundation. 5. Weld the frame as indicated above. 6. Once the frame is welded use 2 bolts in each tyre for each pole totalling 6 per tyre, drill through the tread to connect tyres to the poles at the marked positions taking care to keep them horizontally level. 7. Before cementing in the frame sand and paint with undercoat the section of metal that will be going in the foundation. 8. Place the poles in position and secure in place with supporting stakes. Pour cement into the holes and leave to set. To avoid tripping hazard the level of the concrete must be below ground level. 9. Important: To avoid stagnant water and mosquito borne diseases drill or cut multiple holes in tyres at the lowest point where water pooling may occur. 10. Paint.
