Seesaw

The Seesaw is a playground classic. You will need 2.5” and 1.5” 3mm mild steel pipe, chequer plate, a large tyre, small tyres, 6” bolts, metal and budget paint. There is no need for cement as you can compact the earth to form the foundation around the tyres. Make sure you have at least 1.5 metres of space around the Seesaw.

Weld the frames to the measurements in the diagrams. Make sure that there are no sharp edges. Drill two holes in the large tyre for the pivot. Using the 6� bolts bolt the frame to the large tyre. Make sure that these bolts are tightly fastened with very large washers underneath the tyre. You may want to make your own large washers and even weld the bolts shut. 6. Place the tyres in position and use soil and compact them into the foundations. 7. Paint. Colour Scheme Paint with three colours in the same pattern as shown in the diagram above Choose from: Purple, orange, green, Blue, orange, yellow Blue, green yellow Purple, red, yellow
