Swing – Double Big
The Swing Double Small is a playground classic. You will need 2.5” 3mm mild steel pipe, 2” galvanised pipe, swing hangers, chain, seats, metal and budget paint. You will also need to cement in the foundations of the swings. Make sure you have at least 1.5 metres of space either side of the swings and at least 3 metres in front and behind.

Weld the frames to the measurements in the diagrams. Make sure that there are no sharp edges. Dig the foundations as shown in the diagram. Place the swing in the foundations and make sure it is level on all axes Before cementing in the frame, sand and paint with undercoat the section of metal that will be going in the foundation. Cement in the frame. Attach the swing hangers as shown in the diagram. Hang the chains and the seats. Paint.
Colour Scheme Paint the uprights of the A frame one colour either green or blue Paint the crossbar and the crossbar of the A frames purple (to match with green) or yellow (to match blue)
