The Tyre Ladder is a great part of our adventure playground. You will need 2.5” 3mm mild steel pipe, checked plate, large chain and metal paint. You will also need to cement in the foundations. Make sure you have at least 1.5 metres of space tyre ladder.

How to build 1. Weld the frames as shown in the diagram. 2. Dig the foundations as shown. 3. Before cementing in the frame, sand and paint with undercoat the section of metal that will be going in the foundation. 4. Cement in the frame. 5. Drill 4 holes for the chain to pass through and 2 holes for the tyres to be bolted together. 6. Bolt the tyres together using 2 3” bolts per touching pair of tyres and thread the chain through. 7. Once pipes are fully cemented attach the set of tyres. 8. Fully cement in the end tyres of either end of the ladder. 9. Paint.
