Charlotte Conrad Galeria Côrte-Real January exhibition

Monumental abstractions created by German artist, Charlotte Conrad, form the basis of Corte-Real’s January exhibition. Born in London to a French mother and German father, Charlotte’s early life was disrupted when her parents died and she moved to live with relatives in the USA. Qualifying at Art School in Chicago, she was influenced by the Expressionist Movement and the Russian artist, Wassily Kandinsky. Subsequently working for Alliance Français in Ghana and Togo, she returned to Europe eventually setting up a studio in Berlin.
