STEP 03 Starting at the bottom zig-zag halo section, paint the surface of the section with FORMULA A utilising the COLOUR.PALETTE. Drop down the next halo section and continue the same application through the middle halo.
STEP 04 Drop down the top halo section and allow to fall naturally. Using your zig-zag as a guide, take diagonal sections through the top and paint the surface with FORMULA A.
PRO TIP For coarse or resistant textures, a separator can be used with an alternative COLOR.ME lightener. STEP 01 Using your COLOUR TAIL.COMB section out .5in / 1cm around the entire hairline and isolate with SECTIONING.CLIPS. From the recession area, create a top deep zig-zag halo section and secure. Take a second zig-zag section across the occipital bone.
STEP 05 Elevate the front hairline section and using your ANGLED PRECISION COLOUR.BRUSH feather FORMULA A from new growth to ends. STEP 06 Develop, rinse and apply finishing regimen.

STEP 02 Elevate the hairline section at the nape and using your ANGLED PRECISION COLOUR.BRUSH feather FORMULA A from new growth to ends.
STYLE STEP 01 Apply HAIR.RESORT.SPRAY to damp hair and create a side parting. STEP 02 Blow dry sections using a twist drying technique with your LARGE.ROLL.BRUSH. Alternate the direction on each section as you work around the head. Allow to cool. STEP 03 Shake the hair out and use KILLER.WAVES as desired.

STEP 03 Use your COLOUR TAIL.COMB and take a wide horizontal zig-zag section at the occipital bone. Taking three weaves off the top of your horizontal section, apply FORMULA B from new growth to ends on the first weave. Apply mid-lengths to ends on the second weave and apply to ends only on the third weave. Repeat technique horizontally finishing at the crown. STEP 04 Move to the side sections and continue technique to the top parting. STEP 05 Develop, rinse and apply finishing regimen.
STEP 01 To create a strong face frame, use your COLOUR TAIL.COMB and apply FORMULA A to alternating slices and weaves around the hairline.
STEP 06 Refine using FORMULA C.
STEP 02 Take a radial section across the crown. Then create a profile part from crown to hairline and secure with SECTIONING.CLIPS.
STEP 07 Develop, rinse and apply finishing regimen.

STYLE STEP 01 Apply SMOOTH.AGAIN or EVER.SMOOTH and create your parting. From where the parting ends, take a casual profile section to the nape.
PRO TIP To create a more natural finish, adjust your weave size and consider placement based on the density of the hair.
STEP 02 Starting on one side at the nape, take chevron sections and use your LARGE.ROLL.BRUSH to smooth and roll the hair. For more movement and volume, roll the brush to on-base. STEP 03 Apply SHIMMER-ME.BLONDE to finish.

PRO TIP Consider the texture of the hair and the amount of time your lighteners will be developing when choosing your CREAM.ACTIVATOR as this will create more variation with your lighteners.
STEP 03 Leave the next thin slice uncoloured. With the following semi-oval slice taken in a brickwork pattern, continue to use the COLOUR.PALETTE and apply FORMULA B in a W-shape onto the hair. Alternate painting in V and W patterns in the same brickwork pattern as you move towards the crown.
STEP 04 Move to the sides, and work in the same way all the way up towards the parting.
STEP 01 Using your COLOUR TAIL.COMB, section hair from ear to ear over the crown. Take a centre section from crown to nape, following the parting to the front.
STEP 05 Develop, rinse and apply finishing regimen.
STEP 06 Refine using FORMULA C.
STEP 07 Develop, rinse and apply finishing regimen. STEP 02 Start at the nape with slightly diagonal, semi-oval slices on either side. Place your COLOUR.PALETTE beneath the hair and hold it in place. Working in a V-shape pattern, paint the outer perimeter of each section with FORMULA A.

PRO TIP For a softer effect, apply your lightener on the ends first and feather your way up into the new growth.
STEP 03 Take a section that remains uncoloured before continuing working weaved sections towards the crown in a fishbone pattern. STEP 04 Move to the side and work diagonal weaves towards the crown.
STEP 01 Using your COLOUR TAIL.COMB section from ear to ear over the crown. Take a triangle section from the crown to the recession areas, leaving a triangle section on either side above the ears.
STEP 05 In the remaining area on top of the head, place weaved sections in a zip-type pattern to the right and left of the parting. Use the COLOUR.PALETTE for three sections on either side of the parting.
STEP 02 Start at the nape with diagonal medium weaves. Place the COLOUR.PALETTE under the hair and hold it in place while applying FORMULA A.

Technique Glossary
Diffusion Used to create seamless blending when using lightener on the hair. Place your COLOUR TAIL.COMB on a 45° angle at the mid-lengths or ends and push hair towards the new growth. Starting from the mid-lengths will create less diffusion than starting from the ends.

Placing your formula around the front hairline to enhance facial features. Combing out the baby hairs around the hairline is a new and quick service to create a hairline that mimics naturally lightened hair.
An interaction of two or more formulas that creates a marble effect. Best created by using the Weave-Split technique.
Diffusion of colour that can be achieved by blending two or more formulas. Apply one formula to the new growth and mid-lengths, and then apply the second formula from mid-lengths to ends. Use your fingers to blend the two colours together.

Start applying your formula to the mid-lengths and ends away from the new growth, using the COLOUR.BRUSH in a backwards sweeping motion to soften the line up to the new growth.
Visually applying your formula to the surface area of the section in the pattern of a “V” or “W”. A “V” pattern will create more dimension with a softer result while a “W” pattern creates less dimension.
A vertical .5in/1cm piece of hair that is visually selected and painted to blend the new growth to the existing colour.
Taking a micro weave that creates a subtle and seamless blend. Best created with the LIGHTENING.WAND.
