Wayfinding – The Synthesis of poetic and visual language. Wayfinding is a body of conceptual and expressive paintings and poetry by Michael Heffernan, an Irish artist living in the American South. With paintings and poetry often synthesized as allied forms of expression and emotion, this exhibition explores the overlap in visual and written language through mark-making. The narrative-based artwork and poetry in this exhibition lean on the artist’s early Irish memories. February 26: Artist Talk with Michael Hefferman. 2pm. Karaoke Night. Sing your heart out to a different tune each month, Strut your musical prowess on stage with friends. Karaoke Nights will center around one theme, but all songs are accepted.
