STATE-RANKED TUTORING IN ROSE BAY WHAT'S ON ST MARKS, DARLING POINT

Located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Insight East Education is an all-encompassing tutoring facil ity whose founders have 20 years in combined experience of private tutoring and teaching, catering for students from K-12.

Most of the students attend schools such as Cranbrook, Scots, Ascham, SCEGGS, Rose Bay Secondary, Sydney Grammar, Emanuel and Reddam. They also offers online ses sions, so students come from all over Sydney and country areas within NSW.

Tutors are available 7 days a week and at any time of day. Predominantly, most of the lessons occur on afternoons after school. and also over the weekend.

What really sets Insight East Education apart from other tutoring companies is their tutors.

All the tutors are past students of one of the major schools in the eastern suburbs area and are only one to three years out of high school themselves.

This means that they can relate to the students they are teaching on a more personable level as they call upon their recent memories and experiences of school to help guide the student. This creates a great connection between the tutor and pupil.

On top of this, having just completed the HSC themselves, the tutors are familiar with the syllabus, what is expected in exams and have up-to-date and current notes which they are always more than happy to share with their students.

SUPPORTING ROUGH EDGES The St Mark’s Anglican Church Darling Point community has sought to help care for our neighbours in practical ways during COVID-19. One way has been by providing practical food and financial support to Rough Edges, the support group for the homeless located at St John’s Darlinghurst. St Mark’s has initiated a cash drive for this worthy cause, with a target of $10,000. So far $6,500 has been raised. We would love for members of our local community to join with us in supporting Rough Edges.

PARENTING COURSE Recognising the important role parents have in raising their children, St Mark’s Anglican Church Darling Point is excited to be offering a Building Strong Foundations online parenting course via Zoom on Mon, June 1, 6:30-8:30pm.

The evening will be hosted by Trish Howes; who has 20 years’ experience as a family and parenting counsellor; and Erica Oliver, St Mark’s Outreach Minister. Cost is $10 per couple, $5 per single.

The evening will consist of a video presentation and a few self-reflection exercises.
