EDGECLIFF HEARING SEEKING RECEPTIONIST

land was given to the NSW Government specifically for public use, and choosing to commercialise and ultimately, exploit these public spaces is an error which will decrease accessibility.

As outlined by Andrew Coroneo, Chairman of the Save Carrara/Strickland House Action Group, the Draft Plan has a major issue with community consultation. Presented at the inconvenient interim of Dec 2022 to Feb 2023, whilst many residents were spending time with family or away on holidays, adequate time was not given for the community to even be made aware of these proposed changes, much less object to them in the detailed format required. We need to protect our public spaces, and decisions by the NSW Government which seek to commercialise and degrade the heritage value of such areas should be opposed.
