Featuring both a 5K run and a 1-mile fun walk—along with music and entertainment, activities for families and a sensory-friendly area—Walk, Run ‘n Roll serves up a great day outdoors and makes a difference, too. Walk, Run ‘n Roll began in 2004 as a way for the community to come together and raise awareness of the contributions that people with developmental disabilities can, and do, make to society. At Easter Seals Midwest, we believe that all people should have every opportunity to learn, live, work and participate in a community that values their contributions, regardless of their disability. $10,000 can provide much-needed relief for 6 individuals with developmental disabilities to move off the statewide housing waiting list and into their own homes.
Walk, Run ‘n Roll Saturday, May 21, 2016 Queeny Park ― Saint Louis
$7,500 can provide 3 individuals with essential skillbuilding opportunities so that they can secure and sustain a competitive job in the community, earning at least minimum wage.

$5,000 can offer intensive, early training and support for 1 family to learn how to positively interact with and care for a child with autism.
Awards:
$2,000 can offer 1 individual a year’s worth of support from our registered nursing staff to live a healthy, productive life in his or her own home in the community. $1,000 can provide 12 hours of life-changing therapy for a child with autism who is struggling to communicate with family and friends.

About Us

For nearly 100 years, Easter Seals has been dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities participate fully in the community and lead their best possible lives. We serve nearly 4,000 individuals throughout Missouri, giving them hope for a bright future.
Employee Participation — Starting teams is easy to do online! Set a goal—maybe recruit team captains from each department—and make it fun for your employees. In doing so, you promote teamwork and build employee morale. Another way to engage your employees in Walk, Run ‘n Roll is through volunteering. Easter Seals Midwest welcomes help from the community both before and during the event. In-Kind Donations — The donation of goods and services helps keep our event costs low. In-kind donations needed include food, beverages, ice, advertisements, photography, event equipment (tents, tables, chairs, portable restrooms), and giveaways and promotional items. Matching Funds — Does your company provide matching funds? If so, it’s a great way to maximize your employee teams’ donations!
Each year, more than 575 people with developmental disabilities turn to our Community Living Services for help living in their own homes; 800-plus teens and adults utilize our Employment Services to learn job skills and gain meaningful employment; more than 2,000 families and individuals access our Autism Services to improve communication and other skills through essential therapies and training; and nearly 300 children and families benefit from our Early Childhood Services that promote brain development and positive parenting techniques.
