Built by Robert Cecil over 400 years ago, Hatfield House is a fine example of a Jacobean House full of superb examples of craftsmanship, with State Rooms rich in paintings, fine furniture and tapestries.

The picture perfect garden dates from the early 17th century when Robert Cecil employed John Tradescant the Elder to collect plants for his new home.

The Coach House Restaurant serves a variety of delicious food throughout the day from morning coffee and light lunches to cooked meals and afternoon tea. Group bookings taken.

In 2016, Hatfield House will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first official tank trials which took place in the Park in February 1916.
